About the Author
Roland Lazenby is the author of 36 sports books, including, most recently, Mad Game: The NBA Education of Kobe Bryant (1999, NTC/Contemporary). Over the last dozen years his books have sold more than 500,000 copies and generated over $11 million in sales. His recent successes have included Blood on the Horns (1998, Addax Publishing), an account of the inner workings of the Chicago Bulls and their last championship season; and Bull Run (1997, Addax Publishing), which won Small Press Sports Book of the Year and sold over 72,000 copies in paper and hardcover. Lazenby lives with his wife and three children in Roanoke, Virginia, and has taught Speech Communication at Virginia Tech University since 1992.
