I have always been a fan of Monica's since I heard her debut cd. I have bought her every cd since then. The previous cd "Minage" was the last cd I had of hers until today. I saw "Chicas Malas" in the record store when I was shopping and immediately bought it without even sampling it. I don't regret not sampling it either. Every single song on this cd is great. But, I must say, the best for me is "Ain't It Better Like This". Now, I fnd out she will make and English version of this album, well, you go ahead Monica. Her voice is very original and very powerful. She is truly a diva. I think too many people will have a negative look towards Monica when she finally releases her English album because I have heard many people say her English isn't too good. Well, If youy listen to "If you Leave Me Now" and "Enamorada" from the album "Minage" you will here how well her English is, and "Ain't It Better Like This" is a great song, and actually, for most English speakers, we don't understand every word in an English song by native speakers. So, I say, "Monica, YOU GO AHEAD AND RELEASE AN ENGLISH ALBUM FOR THE WHOLE WORLD." Monica has many many fans all over the world, and many don't even speak Spanish, so, if she releases an English album, we know she will do fine because ella tienes muchas fans. Nos queremos tantos Monica para siempre.

AINT IT BETTER LIKE THIS - FAST PACES SONG IN ENGLISH TO BREAK TO ICE FOR HER CROSSOVER. SHE STARTED IN THE LAST ALBUM WITH IF YOU LEAVE ME NOW AND ENAMORADA. NOW SHE HAS THIS SONG AND SOON IN EUROPE AN ENGLISH ALBUM IN SEPTEMBER. HOPEFULLY IT WILL REACH HERE IN THE US.

Tuve que pedir este cd desde España a fines del año pasado porque aqui todavia no lo lanzaban y bueno desde que lo compre hasta hoy no deja de estar en mi cd player.
Monica Naranjo representa la palabra DIVA para muchos y muchas pero con este cd ella va mas alla y nos muestra el proyecto mas ambisioso que pudo haber hecho.
El cd es un BOOM! En cuanto a produccion y letra-musica se refiere. El title track es una invitacion a la pista de baile seguido por No Voy a llorar que trae desde la tumba al DISCO que tanto esta de moda hoy por hoy (nadie lo interpreta mejor que Moni y trae la musica disco mejor que ninguna otra cantante)Otras joyas dance del disco son Hotline y Sacrificio ambas con 5 estrellas cada una por su originalidad y fuerza en el ritmo y voz!. Tambien nos presenta poderosas baladas con toque europeo y americano que explotan en sentimiento cuando ella "rompe" el coro con su increible voz, y cierra el disco con una cancion en ingles Ain't it better like this que muestra que ella esta lista para una internacionalizacion ya! Para todos los fans estense alertas que en Mayo se lanzara "Badgirls" la version completa en ingles de esta gran produccion.

Monica Naranjo "dissappeared" from the best selling lists around 1999, no one had heard from her, at least no one in Mexico. She released in 2000 'Minage', her tribute to the great italian singer Mina. An album filled with slow, melancholic songs wasn't a great move businesswise for Monica but talentwise was just what everyone needed, she showed off her voice like no other but nonetheless, she was still in the shadows.

Chicas Malas marks the triumphant return of "La Pantera De Figueres" to reclaim what she once abandoned: the throne of Latin dance music. Filled with powerful dance beats and great lyrics, Monica is about to put the world in the palm of her hand.

English audiences, dont miss her english release "Bad Girls" for later this year, it will blow you away.

OK...LET'S GET IT STRAIGHT,PEOPLE...I HAVE TO SAY THAT I'M A MONICA'S FAN, REALLY...AND THAT THE REASON WHY I'M REALLY DISSAPOINTED WHIT THIS CD. SHE WASTED HER SCENT AND DIVA STYLE IN WEAKS SONGS WHICH SOUNDS REPETITIVES AND BORING...ANYWAY, SHE HAS THE VOICE, AND "SACRIFICIO","NO CAMBIES NUNCA" AND "VIVO EN TI" MAKES ME WANNA GIVE 2 STARS TO "chicas malas".

Being a long time fan of Monica Naranjo, I was looking forward to this release. I consider this one to be a better version than her second release palabra de mujer. Here you will find better ballads and better dance tracks in my opinion. Even her voice sounds more mature and better than ever. After her very introspective and dark release titled Minage *my personal favorite* she decided to come back to her roots sort of speak. In my opinion, her stand out tracks here are Chicas malas *the edgiest track on the album really*, de que me sirve ya, no puedo seguir, and lagrimas de escarcha. If you're a fan get it no matter what. If not, then maybe you should listen to the tracks before actually purchasing it. ;-)

Este CD de Moncia Naranjo es Uno mas para lo colecion.
Monia Naranjo has a voice that makes you want to sing and dance with the rithem with out stoping.
El CD esta muy fantastico. Lo malo de el CD es que no lo sacaro en Ingles para latino America. but it's all good I have so It's cool.

Chicas Malas is a great album by a simply astonishing vocalist. It leans towards her disco tunes, but even if you don't do disco, her voice is beautiful on everything. Everyone with any sense of passion and wonder should get everything Monica Naranjo records. There is no one better, and I have been a music producer for 30 years.

while i was in méxico this spring, i picked up my diva mónica's latest. and she did not dissapoint. after the more conceptual 'minage' (which you should buy for the wicked 'if you leave me now' alone!) this album was back to the mónica we all know and love. this has to be her best album in years. the sassy title track, the soon to be a drag classic 'liberame', and thumping dance tunes like 'sacrificio', 'no voy a llorar', etc. my personal fave is the tongue-in-cheek 'ain't in better like this.' all in all, mónica is back and it's about time. can't wait for the english language version, 'bad girls'
