Chicco Trevi Stroller, Miro

I was looking for a stroller that would keep baby comfortable, grow with us, and be easy to use. Our son has outgrown his infant car seat and I need something to drive him around in. He loves his new ride!

pros- The one handed recline is not flat but just about.
-It is heavy enough (22pounds) to hang purse, diaper bag on the handles and not have it tip when baby comes out.
-You don't have to use the 5 pt harness, you can make it 3pt.
-It rides smooth on roads; paved and dirt (within reason- definitely not for trails or sand) you can kind of feel the tred on smooth floors but the ride is still smooth.
-Green color is attractive.
-Handles, while not adjustable are comfortable (I'm 5'8"), the grip feels good. This stroller handles great with one hand.
-The tray is great for entertaining toddlers with cheerios and gold fish! And if you really don't like the tray for whatever reason it is completely removable.

negs- sun shade might as well not be there for when baby is sitting up but is nice for lying down as it has a tinted window.
-cup holder does fall off but, snaps on pretty easily.
-When seat is reclined basket can't be accessed but you can always move your purse to the handles.
-5 pt harness might not work for all kids. while adjustable the arm straps might allow your baby the movement they desire.- we use 3 pt harness and it works great but our baby doesn't try to jump out.
-hard to unfold while holding baby but if you put your foot just right on the release it is possible. and once you get the hang of it, it gets easier.
-I like that it collapses so that it squeezes together but, it just fits in our Prius trunk on a diagonal and you have to put it in just right once its in other things fit too.

I'm an art director and look for great styling and design for the items in my life. All the strollers I was initially attracted to were, of course, well out of my budget at $600-$700. Crazy! And I was disappointed over and over by the quality of the materials and tubing I found in the other strollers that are in my price range. Then last night I saw this in "another store" and felt immediately that it was everything I had in mind. It's solid-looking and feeling, well-designed, an attractive color palette, and *most important*, it fits in the back of my SUV that has 3rd row seating (not a lot of space). It folds up like an umbrella stroller, but doesn't look like one when it's unfolded. Another really important factor is that I'm 5'7" and my husband is 6'5". We both feel comfortable with the height of the handles, which was a pleasant surprise. I was more concerned about finding a stroller that was tall enough for him than for me.

The Trevi is not bulky, and it doesn't look like one of those puffy rolling sofa strollers. It's clean, contemporary, Italian design and highly functional.

I don't need or want to buy 2-3 different strollers to suit all our various needs. In this day and age, well-designed and multi-functional is IN. Waste and bloat is OUT. The Trevi is a great choice at any price point.

Bought this for our first child, hoping to use later as well. Easy to set up and use. Very durable; more stable than the Cortina felt in-store. Love the way it folds more compactly than most full-sized strollers, but you need two hands to set up and fold. Sunshade is very short, so add a Kiddopotamus "Ray Shade" to your list if you purchase this.

When I recieved this stroller from "baby age" the fram was bent and the wheels were wobbly. The stroller seemed very cheap and not nice. I e-mailed CHicco and they immediately mailed me a new one. The new stroller is so much nicer, the wheels turn great, it even smells better (I guess "new stroller smell") I really think that the TREVI I received from baby age was an after market knock off or a defective stroller or maybe just an older version. They look the same but the stroller I recieved directly from chicco is much nicer.

This stroller is a little harder to maneuver than the Chicco Liteway (which I also have) and is much bulkier. However, My LO likes to sit up straight and does not like the 5 point harness. This is one of the few umbrella type strollers that allow your baby to only use the 3 point harness----I would say this stroller is a "hybrid" between full size strollers and umbrella strollers. exactly what I was looking for!

I bought this stroller a couple of months ago and it did not take long before I regretted it.
I am not a very tall person (5'7"), but I soon realized that if I took too long strides I would step on the inner back wheels.
Pretty soon I noticed that the stroller is very hard to push one handed. This is often necessary if you have another child that want or need to hold your hand. The stroller will budge and turn in whatever direction it wants to.
I also did not like the harness. It gives no room for the bum. My son is almost sitting on the buckle, which can neither be comfortable and is not convenient for the parent.
After about a month's use a plastic strap in the back rest broke through the fabric. I did not notice this until my baby had the strap in his hand, chewing on the rubber tip that had come of the strap. The strap does not seem to serve any important purpose so I can live without it.
However, now the swiwel wheels are constantly turning sideways when we go in a store which makes it almost impossible to push the stroller. The instructions suggest locking the wheels on certain surfaces, but then you cannot turn.
Lastly, even though the stroller is fairly compact when it comes to thickness, it is very long folded. We have a Jeep Patriot ( a small SUV) and the stroller does not lay flat in the trunk. I have to tilt it to make it fit.
In all fairness there are a few possitive things about the stroller.
I did like the way the backrest reclined and I also liked the little tray with one slanted snack cup which makes it easy for children that "rake" up there snacks.
You are definitely better of spending a little bit more money on a differnt stroller, because with this one, the problems just seem to be piling up.

I've got the Chicco Keyfit 30 carseat and this stroller works great with it! We like it better than the cortina because it is more streamlined, compact, easier to maneuver in stores etc.

Pros:
-Good looking, cleans up very well.
-Works seamlessly with Keyfit & Keyfit 30 carseats. Locks in and feels very secure, also rides taller than some other strollers so I don't feel like I am stooping to lift the baby in and out.
-Good wheels. Handled well up curbs and over small bits of grass.
-Nice double cup holders for baby.
-Maneuvers very well, easy to steer with one hand
-Nice, tall, handles. I am 6'0" and they are comfortable for me.

Cons:
-Wish it stood on its own when folded. It folds pretty small for the stroller size, but it doesn't stand neatly without being propped up.
-Adult cupholder sometimes pops off when you fold and unfold, but it is easy enough to snap on.
-The canopy really does suck. May as well not even exist. If you want the canopy, you should purchase an add-on canopy.

I drive a Scion XB and it has very limited cargo space so we had limited choices for strollers. I tend to not like large bulky things anyway hence the small car LOL. Our first stroller purchase was a Snap and Go which is the easiest and most compact option for short shopping trips but doesn't allow baby to sprawl and stretch out. Next we bought our Baby Jogger City Mini, which we love but is not compatible with the Key fit 30 car seat (that we use)with its universal car seat adapter. Before my Son was born I really didn't think a travel system was necessary but after having to switch back and forth between the Snap and Go and the City Mini I quickly changed my mind....It seemed we never had the stroller we needed in the car when we needed it UGH! So with the limited space first priority and a much needed travel system next.. We bought the Trevi!
It is no doubt the favorite out of all three strollers and honestly is used the most. It fits perfectly in the Scion XB and we now have the much needed travel system.
Other things I Love about the Trevi is that it is very sturdy..I can put a diaper bag (Skip Hop Dash)over the handles and with its wheel base and design I don't worry about it tipping over. My favorite option on the Trevi, as simple as it is ..is the small pocket in the canopy! I put my keys, wallet and phone there and its much safer than in a parent tray. The cup holder fits all my drinks ..coffee, water, baby bottles... you name it. Actually I thought I would miss the parent tray but I haven't yet! I absolutely Love this stroller!

There are two things I wish Chicco would improve on the Trevi though...the very small tinted visor on the canopy needs to be a little bigger, when we do use it it provides almost no coverage. Second, I would love rubber wheels.. which is just my preference in materials. The wheels work and function on the Trevi just fine and it would probably increase the price if they did.

In all I LOVE this stroller

We bought this stroller because we loved the idea of being able to use it with the bucket car seat when the baby was little and also using it as he got older. Unfortunately as he gained weight the stroller worked worse and worse. We were always bumping into things and found it impossible to navigate stores. It works better outside on sidewalks or streets, but insides it's the worst. We finally gave up and bought a Maclaren. I wish we had saved our money and not bought this stupid Chicco Trevi. The sunshade and wind visor thing is also useless. Seriously, save some money and get the Graco Snap and Go and a Maclaren for when baby is older.

This is a great, easy to assemble and move stroller. This is our first stroller and I wanted something lightweight , strong, and almost flat reclinable. This one fit all the description I was looking for and went beyond. Its definitely light, strong, and allows my baby to sleep peacefully - almost flat.

Great stroller, worth the money! Light weight, folds and gets very compact for smaller car trunks.
