This is fun for a three-year-old for a very short while. There is really no racing involved, the two bikes are absolutely identical and have only one speed. This means that they never end up any farther from each other than where the began, so it's not like you can really race.

Little kids will be amused by this for a short time, but once the novelty of a moving bike wears off there's nothing else to sustain the entertainment value of the toy.

My two year old got this for Christmas, and it was a HUGE hit! He loves motorcycles - so watching these darling bikes race around the track is so much fun for him. I love that the handle/remote has buttons that are big and chunky - just right for small fingers. He has no problem operating it by himself. While it's not an exciting race for the rest of us - even my 10 and 7 year old boys don't mind playing it with him. The chunkiness of the bikes make them easy to to keep standing - no tipping over. The bikes do sometimes jump the track - but that only makes for a more interesting race in my two year old's eyes. It doesn't happen often, so it's not a huge problem. We are thrilled Santa made the choice to give us this. It's perfect for little ones.

I got this for my 2.5 year old nephew. He and my two year old son love playing with it. And a major bonus, is that the motorcycles run on the track or on the floor, so they can race them around the house too. They loved playing with it. and even the 8 and 9 year old thought this was pretty fun. Would say anywhere from 2-5 would love it as a gift.

Great for the younger kids. Initiates them to the concept. Doesn't allow for speed/left/right control. Just go/front/back. Does work off the tracks though. Our 3 yo loves playing with this at grandma's house. Might get tired of it were it at her own house. More for 2 yos if a daily toy. They master it fast.

Purchased this toy for my 3 year old. Motorcylcles move too slowly and most of the time, they don't work...would not recommend this toy.

My boys were so excited about this toy. I have three year old twins and they couldn't wait to race their motorcycles, but this toy has been a total letdown. One of the remote controls arrived with the battery compartment messed up. The springs were on BOTH connectors for one battery and neither connector for the other battery. My husband is a bit of an electrician and managed to fix that. When we were finally up and running, we discovered that the motorcycles consistently fall off the track at the "bump" in the road, making it impossible to race. The plus of the toy is that the remote is really easy to use, even for a three year old. My boys enjoy the toy as long as someone is sitting there to pick up the motorcycle and put it back on the track. The inability to actually race the motorcycles, however, is a real disappointment.

We got this track for my 5 year old son. He LOVES it! It doesn't go too fast and is easy for him to reassemble and easy for him put the motorcycles back on track if he wrecks them. The controls are easy for him to use and straight forward.

He's had hours of fun playing with it both on the track and just zooming along the floor.

It's well made and we've had no issues with it (other than trying to keep all the tires together as the kids think they're neat to play with off the track!).

This was bought for my nephew as a gift for his birthday...well let's just say us adults were letting our inner child out and having a ton of fun playing with this!
