I was going to buy a wooden high chair for my baby, but after seeing one in person, decided on this one instead. I am SO glad I did! I can't rave enough about this high chair. Here are all the things I love about the chair:

1. Two chair covers! One can get thrown in the wash and still have a pad on the chair. I don't have to rush to clean it. However, unless it's a real mess, it is easy enough to clean with a cloth. Nice cushioning, too. My baby is comfy in it.

2. Removable tray liners! The high chair comes with 2 removable tray liners. I've never had to use both, but I guess if I didn't have a chance to wash the one before needing it again, it would be handy. I like that I can remove the whole thing and walk it to the trash can and then the sink. It's fantastic and easy to clean!

3. The tray has holders for storage on the back legs of the chair. I always put the tray on those holders when my baby is not in the chair. This makes it so easy to put my baby in, strap her in, and then grab the tray to put on. (one other reviewer didn't use this storage spot and noted it was difficult to remove the tray with the baby in her arms.) Storing it here eliminates this problem.

4. The leg separator is attached to the bottom of the tray instead of the seat. I love this feature. I don't have to worry about getting her legs around that thing while she is squirming in my arms. Instead, once she is strapped in I can worry about it. Plus, this means the chair will literally grow with her. When she is big enough and doesn't need this feature, it converts to a regular chair at the table.

5. Height adjustment is great. Without the tray on, she can sit at the table like a big girl. She thinks that is great! Adjustable foot rest also grows with her.

6. There are brakes on each wheel. So it is easy to roll everywhere and then keep it secure when baby is in it.

7. It has multiple reclining positions which are easy to adjust.

8. It folds up easily.

9. This nice green color isn't like all the loud, colorful baby products you find. It fits nicely with our decor and doesn't scream 'baby in the house'! (though there are other color options like that if you like the colorful products).

As you can see, I absolutely love this product and without a doubt think it was worth every penny. I'm so glad I spent the money and didn't settle for a cheaper product!

We bought this chair for my 6mos old son after having him sit in a few at the store. We also have the Chicco stroller/car seat travel system which we love.
All the high chairs we tried had some little minor annoying feature/flaw. You just have to decide which problem you can live with. On this Chicco high chair the main problem is the tray attach/detach mechanism. Try holding your baby on one arm and taking the tray off with the other, then putting the baby in the seat and putting the tray back on while holding your child back. The tray attaches to the arms via a set of small bolts controlled by a lever on the front of the tray. The arms have to be perfectly parallel and straight for the bolts to find the right holes in the arms, or you have to struggle with it by moving tray back and forth until it clicks in. Whoever designed this tray system should have a severance package waiting for them on their desk in the morning.

The yoke or hump that goes between the child's legs is attached to the tray, not the seat, unlike most other chairs. Not a big deal, but it definitely means you have to strap the kid in when the tray isn't in place. The removable trays are huge and dont fit in my dishwasher, though its not that big of a deal to wipe them down in the sink.
Other than these things its a fine chair, though expensive given the problems above. I'd probably get another type if I had to do it again, but this one works fine enough to leave it alone for now. js

2.0 out of 5 stars Impossible to Clean - Choose a vinyl cover!, April 23, 2009
This review is from: Chicco Polly Double Pad Fabric Highchair, Adventure (Baby Product)
I registered for the Polly because several of my friends recommended it and said it was the best chair on the market. I chose a color that looked good in our kitchen without realizing that some of the styles have FABRIC padded covers and some have VINYL. Apparently my friends have the Discovery - which is vinyl. The Adventure is fabric. The fabric is impossible to clean - you can't put it in the washing machine and it leaves watermarks when you spot clean it. It is an annoying cleaning process every night.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do NOT buy this piece of @#&!, July 7, 2009
This review is from: Chicco Polly Double Pad Fabric Highchair, Adventure (Baby Product)
I've had this highchair for over a year now (or should I say, I've been STUCK with it) and each and every time I use it (which is up to five times a day) I say to myself, "Man, this is such a terrible highchair I should warn others like I wish I was warned". First off, it's bulky. Which most highchairs are, but this one is like a monster in the room. Secondly, food ends up EVERYWHERE in this chair (even if you have perfect angels). There are sooooo many cracks and crevices not only in the seat and cushions and side supports and arm rests but also in the tray. YES the tray is made of about a bazillion differents parts. I now keep a toothbrush handy to get the spaghetti and jelly that builds up over the week OUT of all the cracks of the TRAY where food is supposed to be! Even the removable tray cover sucks! It's smaller than the actually tray so when food or liquid spills on it, it runs down under the cover and onto the tray. So what's the point of a cover! Okay, lastly, getting the tray on and off sucks too! You have to first hold a button in the whole time you're trying to blindly line up both sides of the tray tracks onto the armrests which even then you end up shimming the darn thing back and forth before it shoots on and nearly sections your poor child in half and pinchs their poor impatient fingers all the while! Chicco should stick with strollers and leave the highchairs up to Fisher Price (I used a twenty year old FP highchair prior to the Chicco and it was a dream!)

1.0 out of 5 stars disappointed new mom, November 15, 2008
This review is from: Chicco Polly Double Pad Fabric Highchair, Adventure (Baby Product)
Well I picked this highchair out and must not of taken enough time to try every feature or read every instruction... One of the earlier reviews on this items said they were happy there are two pads so she can throw one in the wash... my instructions tell me that the pads are not washable??? and there is a cardboard type stiffness to the seat cushion so not sure how it would go in the washer??? and try wiping carrots or sweetpotatoes off the cushion... then you just have a big dark spot with papertowel fuzzies stuck to the cushion... YUK! But, that is not a big deal compared to the STUPID sholder straps.... I CAN NOT GET THEM OFF ... so I hope your child is never choking on anything when you have them all strapped in.... because I can't unhook them when I am not panic stricken good luck unhooking them when you are trying to save your childs life! I just removed those straps all together, that way when I'm not home and someone else is using the chair I don't have to worry about it ... but, now I have to use the tray all the time or else my child will topple right out of the chair....Very disappointed! Wish I could return the item!

4.0 out of 5 stars Chicco Polly high chair, July 13, 2009
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Chicco Polly Double Pad Fabric Highchair, Adventure (Baby Product)
Lots of pros and lots of cons. You ultimately have to decide what features you want from a high chair and what your life is like at home in your kitchen. We have a large kitchen so I loved that I can roll this chair all around with no probs. Even when we decide to eat outside I just roll the chair out with baby in it and it's easy. I've never had to completely pull out the tray to put our child in. We just drop the back and pull the tray out a little and slide baby in. I also love all the padding and that the chair does recline, unlike the wood high chairs. We have a 2 yr old too so dinner for us takes a bit longer. We all sit together and I feel that we get more time together because the chair is so comfy and easy to move around. Baby is happy and can make plenty of mess. Now speaking of mess. I'm a clean freak! No joke. I just had to get over it. I don't know how others can keep their kids so clean but I simply can not. Therefor cleaning this chair is a drag. The pads all come out as do the straps. I wash them all in our machines several times a week. I'm on baby # 2 and all the pads and belts have kept up. But I hate taking the pads out and putting it back together all the time. But keep in mind no high chair is ever going to contain all food and the mess. No high chair. So don't kid your self. As for the plastic tray, I wash all by hand. I don't put any plastic in my dishwasher ever. The bad thing about the tray is the big gap in the middle. Food gets stuck in there so I have to use a toothpick to scrape it out. Also when you wash the big tray, water gets inside of it and slowly leeks out when trying to dry it. It's definitely a pain to clean and keep clean. I gave this chair 4 stars for comfort, reclining, space saving, rolling well, safety, grows with little ones, sturdy, well made, not cheap, easy to use and store, can adjust to many different levels, doesn't chip paint, and no heavy lifting. A wood chair can't offer all that but are cleaner and easier to keep clean.

3.0 out of 5 stars Serves the purpose but how do I get it clean?, July 9, 2009
By
This review is from: Chicco Polly Double Pad Fabric Highchair, Adventure (Baby Product)
I am satisfied with the highchair for the most part. My son (14 months) stays in it, though we don't use the straps because they were such a hassle, difficult to adjust, etc. The crotch bar in the tray keeps him from sliding out. I only remove the tray to clean it, just slide it back to get him in and out. The tray covers are a nice idea, but they do sometimes allow especially messy meals to ooze down to the main tray anyway, and trying to find a place the store the one that is not in use is an ordeal (at least in my kitchen).

My biggest complaint is that both pads in the chair (don't really understand why there are two anyway) indicate that they are not machine washable. Hello... but, isn't this a highchair... designed for feeding small children... who are learning to feed themselves... thereby getting food in every place imagineable? I ask myself everyday, "Who designs a highchair with fabric padding that is not machine washable?"

Finally, the pad was so stained and nasty looking (even after wiping again and again with a soapy cloth) that I threw all caution to the wind and tossed it in the washer. For the most part, the pad (the underneath gray one) came out okay, except that the white, papery fabric on the back tore off in small bits. It didn't affect the overall appearance or function of the pad, but I'm sure after multiple washings the entire thing will start to break down. I was surprised that what seems to be cardboard in the foot rest of the pad (could be plastic) seemed to make it through the wash okay, at least the first time.

In short, the chair would be fine if it was MACHINE WASHABLE!

I love this highchair. I have two other ones (at grandmas) not by Chicco and I hate them! Most important feature my son can't climb out from this chair like he does from the others. Love it!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not recommended, August 7, 2010
This review is from: Chicco Polly Double Pad Fabric Highchair, Adventure (Baby Product)
This is a bad, bad, bad design:

1. It takes up a lot of floor space (21" x 29") when in use. Not ideal for small rooms.
2. The tray does not slide on smoothly and often goes off-track when you are trying to side it in.
3. The tray is poorly designed. There is an attached hard plastic piece that is designed to be straddled by baby's legs when it is in place. However, when the tray is slid in, it is easy to push the tray too far in and smoosh baby's crotch. Unpleasant. The same plastic piece prevents the tray from being set aside and laying flat somewhere for storage or just to set aside for a moment while putting baby in or out of the high chair.
4. The chair is excessively HUGE. My 6 month old son is still too small to be buckled in snugly in this chair.

I've seen a much better designed chair by Safety 1st. It is much easier to get baby in and out of the chair because of a much better tray and restraint design.

5.0 out of 5 stars This high chair is great!, June 4, 2008
This review is from: Chicco Polly Double Pad Fabric Highchair, Adventure (Baby Product)
I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about when they say this high chair isn't great. Its very easy to fold, adjust, and the tray is easy to put on. Yes, you do have to align the tray with the tracks to make it click, but that's expected with ANY tray that is placed securely. You should ALWAYS strap your child in the highchair, and the straps on this seat are great and safe. The cloth cover does dirty easily, so you have to wipe it regularly. It does stain more than Vinyl would, but of course since its cloth!

All in all, I love this highchair for my daughter. It's compact, easy to adjust, very cute, sturdy, and has so many great features. It even reclines all the way down for a newborn. ALthough a bit steep on the price, I highly recommend it.
