Please ignore the reviewer who rated the seat one star due to the rebound issue. I am a certified child passenger safety technician and this is NOT a safety concern. Almost all rear facing seats will rebound in a crash. The only ones that won't are infant seats with rigid LATCH (the only one currently available in the US is the Baby Trend Latch-Loc with rigid LATCH) or one with an anti-rebound bar like the Britax Companion and convertible seats that tether rear facing (all Britax convertible seats, Sunshine Kids Radian, etc). As long as your seat moves less than an inch in any direction AT THE BELT PATH (i.e. on an infant seat with a base, right at the seat crack where the other poster said it was tight) it is safe. The Chicco KeyFit is a very good seat. It is without a doubt one of the best on the market currently. It installs like a dream and fits small babies very well. As a tech of seven years, I would not hesitate to recommend this seat or use it for my own child.

While the base alone is a little pricey, it has been worth the added investment in the time and effort saved. This combo is very well designed and thought through. I never thought it would be so easy to snap the seat in and out of the car. I highly recommend this system to anyone.

The Chicco Travel System, including the infant car seat and base, is a great product. My daughter was born only 5lbs 14oz, and she was very snug in the car seat from day one. She is now three months old and this car seat is a great fit for her. Her head does not shift around at all. The base fits perfectly in my car's latch system, and the car seat snaps securely into the base. I am very happy with this produce and would recommend it to anybody with a newborn.

This car seat base and the car seat/stroller set that go with it are wonderful. The base is very easy to install and level, doesn't need constantly re-levelled, and is easy and intuitive to use. It's been great to use and my son has been very comfortable in the seat...have bought two extra bases for my husbands and my babysitter's vehicles...great value for the ease of use. I understand that I can buy the next size up seat and use the same base for it, which should work out very well as he grows.

The Chicco Carseat with the KeyFit Base is incredible. The base has two options for securing it, one using the regular lap harness which works great in our sedan and the other using a built in belt that works best with our small SUV. You just set the carseat on the base and you can hear the snap when it is secure. With the press of one button it releases from the bases. No clumsy fiddling with small or multiple buttons or latches. It just doesn't get any easier than this!

Great idea for families who want to share that cute little baby: buy the car seat and stroller and then buy a couple of bases for the car seat so that the babe can easily be transported from base to base, ie car to car (the seat clicks in with a snap). No need to wake up a sleeping infant. The entire system (car seat, stroller, base) is easy to use and grows with the child. Great invention.

Bought this as an extra base for my Chicco Car Seat. I love it. Great quality!!!

With so many vehicles in our family, it is nice to have the extra base to lock into. Things are more convenient when you only have to remember the infant and not all the safety equipment when exchanging parental responsibilities.

We are so grateful to have an extra base for our chicco travel system. I have one base in my car and the second in my husband's car. That way going places with the baby is so easy regardless of what car we take. I would strongly reccomend an extra base to anyone who is thinking about purchasing a chicco car seat.

The product was exactly what they advertised, came on time and in good shape. Works great! Very pleased.
