I researched for weeks to buy the right booster for my four year old. He is too tall for the five point harness seat we own. I finally choose this seat based on how it looked (great color) and the fact it is an Insurance Institute "Best Bet". I was hesitant due to the lack of reviews; however, I am very pleased. My son loves his seat and says it is very comfortable. I like how it does not easily come apart like the graco booster seat that I used with my older children. The head AND side supports both raise as your child grows unlike most other boosters. I also like that the sides can be adjusted out as your child grows. It is contoured at the bottom which appears to be more comfortable for my son's legs...my daughter's legs used to fall asleep in the Graco booster because of the box like shape.

I would give it five stars if it had LATCH for when the seat is not in use. It is also is a little pricey, but overall I love the seat. My son falls asleep in it and his head doesn't flop over. The cover can be zipped off for cleaning.
Most importantly, I feel that the seat belt is correctly restraining my child to keep him as safe as possible.

After the IIHS booster safety review was released in September 2010, I ditched my Graco (prior top rating) booster seat for the chicco key fit strada. This seat is built to last and is so much more solid than the graco offerings. That being said, the number one purpose of a booster seat is to position the car's seat belt over the shoulder and thighs properly so that it can do its job. This seat does that superbly. In fact, it is impossible to mess up the lap belt position as long as you don't place it over the booster's arms. My 7 year old complained about it being "harder" to buckle for a couple of days but has been fine ever since. She much prefers this booster over the less comfortable graco booster (we owned the graco booster with the adjustable full back.) There is no latch to hold the seat in place when it is empty, but honestly it has never shifted around. If your child isn't buckled to begin with, latch will keep the booster (not the child) from flying out of the seat. As for the "bump" a prior reviewer referred to, we don't have that problem in either of ours (I bought one for each vehicle). Great booster, wish it was less expensive but the materials and craftsmanship are superior to any other boosters out there. I don't consider Britax's "booster" seats to be in the same class as they are more like jumbo car seats;) Highly recommend.

We purchased this Pearl color booster for our four year old son about 2 months ago and have been very pleased. Like other reviewers, we were originally attracted to it because of its high safety rating. My son thinks it's very comfortable (he hasn't complained of any bumps, as in a previous review). He does, however, still need a little help buckling himself. The seat is very sturdy (unlike the popular Graco TurboBooster, which fell apart every time I picked it up), has a lot of padding/head support and looks great, too!

We have had this seat for about a month now - I was attracted to it because of the Chicco reputation and the heavy duty safety rating it supposedly received. However....if comfort is a factor, this may not be the seat for you. There is a bump on the seat, that my son complains about constantly. We had to take a long trip and he couldn't wait to get out of that seat. Additionally, besides comfort, the lap belt is extremely cumbersome to get across and under the armrest as directed. A child would have great difficulty trying to do this themselves. On the plus side, it is a very nice looking seat.

I purchased 2 of these the first week in December of 2010. We were involved in a car accadent and had to replace our old boosters. We had the Sunshine kids before but saw that this was new and wanted to give it a try. We took them for a test drive on a 1 hour trip and both of my children compalined about how bad they hurt their legs and bottoms. My children are 5 and7 years old but on the tall side so the expandable was a must. The seatbelt does not stay in the holder when using it and the arms are so low that it is very difficult to get the seatbelt on properly. Neither one of my children can buckle their own seatbelts where in their old boosters they could. The cup holder falls off alot and it does not hold their travel cups well because of the angle it sits. We used them on a 10 hour drive to vist family and by the time we arrived both children were crying because the seats hurt their legs and bottoms so bad. They both had bright red marks on their bottoms and the backs of their legs. The seats also do not stay in place very well. We had to stop along the interstate to readjust the seat because it fell off the side of or vans bucket seat. All in all I am not very happy with paying the price for these and not getting a safe comfy seat. I will be purhasing new Sunshine kids boosters for the kids today.
