"almost the perfect" stroller,
By Karrie Cerda (Austin, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Chicco London Stroller - Blue Sky (Baby Product)
I'd really like to rate the stroller at 4 1/2 stars rather than 4 because it's so close to being the perfect stroller. It has great features, such as having the umbrella fold style to give you more space in your vehicle for example. Also, it reclines, has a pretty good size basket that I think is removable, has a five point harness, huge hood/canopy cover that actually blocks the sun, eight sturdy wheels that allow me to push the stroller on gravel/rocks (like what you would find at a ball field parking lot) without getting stuck, great handles that don't tire my hands, material that doesn't stand for sticky icky stuff or liquids--wipes right off, and the absolute best thing ever for a child...a LEGREST!!! I'd always wonder if my child's legs were comfortable or if they fell asleep in the strollers w/out them.Yet, I still wish the backing wouldn't be so rigid/sturdy because my 20month old seems to slouch (sort of) which makes the upper part of his legs (thigh area) hang off the edge of the seat. I'm not sure if you can picture this, but I would have liked the seat to support his whole upper leg with the edge of the seat being right under the folding part behind the knee. The problem also makes his little legs hang lower, so every so often his feet hit the wheels. The leg rest pushes his legs frontward so that his feet pass the foot rest. I'm hoping as he gets older, he will learn to actually rest his feet on the footrest rather than allowing them to hang past. Also, once I fold the stroller, it does not let me put the brakes on so if it is standing it rolls back down. Then the locking mechanism is really long and the stroller stays a tiny bit more open than what it could/should. The bad points are not major things, and the good things actually overcome all else. We had a travel system before, which takes up alot of room, even in a large SUV. We then used the free one from ToysRus, which was okay--it just lacked all the luxuries that the LONDON has which is why I set out on a 6month journey of store looking, internet hunting strollermania marathon type shopping!!! So, maybe I will never find the perfect stroller, but, I think I've found something pretty close.

A Wonderful Light Stroller to have!!,
By James and Jo (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Chicco London Stroller - Blue Sky (Baby Product)
My husband & I were looking to buy a lightweight stroller for travelling for our 6.5 months old baby. The Chicco London caught our eyes. We tested it in the store and like it very much. It is good for baby/toddler up to 33 lbs. Both the front and the back wheels are double-wheels. It is easy to fold and unfold. The stroller comes assembled and we only need to put the sun canopy on. The sun canopy is pretty good size compare to other Chicco light stroller models. The stroller has 5 point harness and several incline positions. It came with a rain shield that covers down to the stepping board to keep the little feet dry. There is a small storage compartment below the stroller that we use to store baby blanket and other light objects. It comes in two colors, red and greyish-blue. We enjoy our new stroller and our baby boy enjoys it, too.

A great umbrella stroller!,

i had been looking for a lightweight stroller that folds umbrella style~ all the other travel systems fold horrendously huge! they take up at least 1/2 your trunk space (the bottom half) & going shopping there just isnt enough room for pkgs! when our son was born we purchased the Graco MetroLight~ lightweight, had all the functions we were looking for, easy to fold even one handed.. the major convience was that the baby seat could go into it so if he was sleeping you didnt have to disturb & unbuckle him. but he outgrew his small infant seat pretty quickly~ before his first bday we had to get a larger car seat so i did research and found the alpha omega, which is just great for travel (can recline) and no having to restrap it as he gets older since headrest adjusts with a back movable & locking mechanism. we then purchased a umbrella stroller when we went out of town and forgot the stroller~ i loved the way it folded so small but it didnt have any conviences of a regular stroller (no basket, no recline, no large canopy, etc) I then looked at the chicco caddy stroller~ had a few conviences but not many~ a hood, rain cover, 1 recline, larger wheels. It was basically the only thing that folded just like an easy umbrella stroller on the market UNTIL NOW! ...

Warning!!!!,

Initially I loved the Chicco Sky stroller until I removed it from my trunk and realized that a screw had fallen out of it. I am thankful that my infant son was not in the stroller because I fear he would have been seriously injured. The whole frame collapsed! There are other messages posted on this board indicating the same problem! I feel that this stroller should be recalled. The safety isssues make it quite clear that this stroller is a danger.

The PERFECT second stroller!!!,
By debbie (Fort Stewart, Georgia) - See all my reviews

I bought this stroller because I wanted something that would not take up all my trunk space, like my travel system stroller did. I really love the travel systems, but when my son out grew the infant seat I wanted something more compact that he would not out grow. I found it. I have 4 kids and I'd hate to even guess how many strollers I have had (must be a dozen or so). This will be my last one. This will be my favorite shower gift, I plan on giving it to every one, and will tell them to hang on to it till their baby is sitting up well and they are done with the travel system. I do not recommend it for babies under 6 months, but for the older babies on the go it's great. I just don't think it offers enough support for little ones. I know it doesn't have a cup holder but that is the only draw back. I read reviews saying that screws may pop out, so I plan to check the screws often. And the stroller was very stiff when I first got it but after a few uses it got easier to open and close. I love the fact that this stroller folds like an umbrella stroller, reclines, has a shopping basket, a leg rest, and quite a large canopy for the type of stroller it is. I was considering other strollers, researched many models on line and finally found this one it had all the features important to me. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: MY SON (almost a year old) LOVES IT TOO!!!!!!

Great Stroller,
This review is from: Chicco London Stroller - Blue Sky (Baby Product)
I have had this stroller for a year, with absolutely no problems. Like many others, we got it to take in the car most places because the travel system takes up the whole trunk. It is not the best for a small baby, but no umbrella stroller is. I did use it before my baby could actually sit up, with the seat reclined. It has all the best features, except a cup holder. They sell cup holders that can be attached though. An added benefit...it is tall. My husband doesn't have a problem pushing it. From what I can tell, they have fixed all of the falling apart issues of the previous model. Don't hold it against them now, the problems are fixed. Definitely worth the money!

I confess - I am a carriage snob..........,
By
This review is from: Chicco London Stroller - Blue Sky (Baby Product)
.....I like the bigger heavier carriages and strollers as opposed to the lighter weight ones, even if they do kill my back taking them in and out of an SUV. However, I needed a VERY lightweight, easily maneuverable stroller for certain times, like my 9 year old's crowded school events, where the big stroller is too cumbersome. When I tested this one out at BRU I was very impressed with it, and my 8 month old son sat in it happily for a quick spin around the store. So far, I think its great. It was about $10 more than the others I looked at, but I thought the reclining back, one-hand maneuverability and more substantial sun coverage was more than worth $... I also think that having 3 frame locks is worth paying an extra $..., as opposed to the average 2 the others had. Some had one, which I would not trust. I did read a review that said the stroller collapsed on a baby, and I am inclined to think that one was unfortunately damaged in some way because these 3 frame locks are seemingly impossible to disable all at the same time. One thing I am concerned about is at the bottom right part of the frame in the rear behind the seat is a spring encased in plastic, just dangling. I have no idea what this is for! It is not mentioned in the manual and does not seem to have a purpose, so this a little bit alarming. I will probably go back to the store to check out the floor model and see where of if that spring is attached somewhere! So if you are considering this stroller, I give it 4 stars only because I have to make another trip to the store to find out what that spring is about!

Fell apart,

I bought this stroller and loved it until I was walking with my 5 month old son and it started to collapse. I came to this website and read new reviews since I had purchased the stroller. Others had fallen apart and lost screws as well!!

I've only had this stroller a week, but here's what I've found: Positives:- folds up like an umbrella stroller - rides very smoothly - adjustable canopy (plenty of room for my 3' tall 2yr. old) - 5-postion reclining seat w/ leg rest - small storage basket - handles are comfortable and high enough for tall people to take full strides Negatives: - can't access storage basket when seat is reclined - can't engage the brake when the stroller is folded, if you wanted to stand it up - you have to bend down and use 2 hands to recline seat

SHOPPING FREAK,

Me and my husband (meaning me alone) have been looking for a second stroller, one that's lighter and less bulky. I have the Osh Kosh second nature travel system that works great but is very bulky and takes up all my trunk space. It toke me three visits to [a local toy store] to decide on the London stroller sky blue. It's lightweight, easy to handle, folds up nicely and reclines just enough for my 9 month old son to be comfortable. It doesn't have a lot of padding but my son doesn't seem to mind so long as I put a blanket down for him to sit on. I like the little basket on the bottom too. I haven't used the rain cover yet but that is also very nice to have in hand. OVER ALL I LOVE THIS STROLLER AND IS WORTH THE PRICE.
