Perfect 'All-Terrain' Stroller,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Chicco S3 All-Terrain Stroller, Fuego (Baby Product)
I never typically write reviews but as I was doing research for this stroller there are barely any user reviews. I already have several Chicco products and was excited when I came across this stroller. I was in the market for a jogging stroller but in reading reviews I learned that you essentially pay for what you get. I didn't want to fork over $400-$500 but the cheaper strollers had mediocre reviews. Yes, I know that this stroller isn't a true jogging stroller, but for my runs/jogs it is perfect. It is super smooth and handles really well, the seat is really really large- I feel like my son could fit in here forever, and I love that the sunshade goes all the way down. It also comes with a rain cover so if you like running or walking in the rain your little one will stay dry. The summer/winter padding it comes with is thick and cushy, I haven't tried washing it, but I believe it is machine washable.
There are some cons to this stroller though... There isn't very much storage. I have two diaper bags, a Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack & a Juicy Couture bag and neither one of them fit in the storage bin underneath. I put them in between the back wheels resting on the foot brake. If you do that, sometimes the brake will partially engage or my bags will rub on the wheels. To resolve the storage problem, this stroller comes with a matching one-shoulder backpack/diaper bag that hooks onto the stroller. I never use it, but it is an option. The other con is that though it folds up nicely, it is pretty heavy. I have a Yukon and I have to heave it in the trunk. Oh, and it doesn't have a cup holder either, I found that out the hard way when I bought a pretzel and lemonade in the mall and had nowhere to put my drink! It also does not recline flat like the Chicco Cortina does. None of these things really bother me as it is not my primary stroller, but if you are purchasing it as a primary these are just things to be aware of. I love this stroller so much that I, personally, wouldn't let these things dissuade me from purchasing it anyways. It is a very well made, sturdy stroller. I love it and would definitely purchase it again. Plus, I bought it from Amazon and with a Prime membership got overnight shipping for $3!

We bought this stroller in 2007 while on vacation in Italy. It has held up very well. It's super easy to push. Easy for my now 6 year old to get in and out of. It holds lots of stuff if you use it for to help lug groceries home (in NYC). I have been very thankful to have this stroller.

We just recieved this product, and after my husband put it together, the quality is easy to see and feel. When pushing this stroller it feels amazing, so smooth and easy. This stroller looks just as great as it rolls too! Everything about this stroller is super high quality! We got the matching Chicco KeyFit Carseat, and can't wait to use both of these items together. The stroller folds easy and the breaks are great! All in all, a fantastic buy!!!
Updated review: Still 5 stars! This is a fantastic stroller! Smooth rolling wherever I decide to go, through the park, unpaved trails, thru a store, anywhere, any surface, this stroller does fantastic! Baby loves it, he stays super comfortable with plenty of room! Chicco key fit car seat fits directly on top for smooth transitions from the car to the stroller for your little one!

Good but bulky,

This stroller is real good. It has good wheels and tires, adjustable suspensions, it can go off-road very easily, you can push it fast. It has a LOT of very useful accessories that we do use all the time. Unfortunately it's quite bulky and it doesn't fit in my wife's car; we will try to bring it on the plane next weekend but we know it's going to be hard. Also, when running on not so perfect terrain, the brake tends to engage by itself - very annoying. Otherwise it's real good quality.

Our first child is on it's way any day, so the fact that this stroller was so easy to assemble was fantastic!
Shipped to us super quickly, and is SO easy to collapse, and the car seat fits it beautifully. It came with a few bags that attach and a rain cover, I believe you can order other accessories. Looking forward to trying it out when hiking and jogging!

I had originally planned on purchasing a Bob stroller but decided to go with this stroller instead since it would be much, much cheaper. The Bob stroller was going to require the purchase of multiple additional parts (car seat adapter, rain shield, cozy winter warmer for the seat, the water bottle holder, etc...). This stroller already came with most of these items for a much better price. I also had received the Chico Key Fit 30 car seat as a gift to go with this stroller. I read multiple reviews about this stroller and my 2 big concerns were: 1. the lack of a water bottle holder, 2. the ability to fold it up and fit it into the trunk of my car (an Altima). I was able to solve the water bottle holder dilemma by purchasing the Bob stroller water bottle holder. It doesn't fit perfectly, but it serves it purpose well on the stroller and it solves my water bottle holder problem (who would buy a jogging stroller that doesn't fit a water bottle?). The second issue is the stroller doesn't fold down a small as it really could. This is a bit of a design issue. I was able to turn the front wheel around and figured a way to get the stroller into the back of the trunk of my car, but it isn't the easiest. Overall, I really love this stroller. It moves very well, has great braking capability, the front wheel can either lock or swivel and the stroller, for the most part, is designed very, very well. I saved over $200 by purchasing this Chico stroller over the Bob stroller and I don't feel that I've lost any capability that the Bob stroller could have given me. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this stroller to anyone.

Let me start by saying I have not used this stroller fully. We still have time until the baby's arrival, but in the meantime I've toyed around with it. It surely is a rough terrain capable stroller. The brake lever on the handle is comfortable and easily accessed. Break down is fairly easy, but the size can be an issue. It fits in my Lexus GS-300's trunk without a problem and the A4 wagon is obviously big enough. All the sunshades appear to have good coverage. I might add more to this review once it's fully in use, but time will be limited with a little one in the house.

We got this as an option for a jogging stroller even though it really isn't a jogging stroller. It went together easily and our Chicco car seat fits nicely although it is only held on with a simple strap. It maneuvers well and looks nice. We do have trouble with the parking brake though- when we jog with the stroller the brake starts to slip and eventually engages. We've fixed it with some tape - it doesn't look great but it works. The down side is we don't have parking brake without undoing the tape. It was hard to find a jogging stroller that our car seat would work with so it is a little disappointing that it isn't fully functional for what we need.
