2.0 out of 5 stars Baby Bjorn is better, August 25, 2005
By
This review is from: Chicco Smart Support Carrier - Canarie (Baby Product)
This carrier is difficult to get on, the clips require 2 hands & my biggest issue with it is that it doesn't adjust up/down like the baby bjorn so my 25 inch baby does not fit into it with the hood on. I had to remove the hood to continue using it, which was the whole reason I got it (since the bjorn has no hood) which defeats the whole purpose of this purchase for me. Also, the straps in the back are thin and dig into my sides and are not comfortable, & the baby is not held tight against me as with the bjorn.

Finally, the baby lying down position is great in theory but I challenge anyone to try it for more than a few min - no matter what the weight of the baby this is brutal on your back because of the uneven weight distribution. I don't ahve any back problems, have never had a backache (that wasn't attributed to pregnancy) and could only keep my 5lb preemie in it for aboiut 10 min before my spine was begging me for mercy!

Forget this and go with the baby bjorn! It's easier to get on/off, easier on the back, holds the baby closer & the straps are wide all the way around & it's adjustable as baby grows.
