Chick Living is the ultimate book for any college graduate about to enter the work force. Kris Melcher not only gives you down-to-earth advice on how to save money and stay on budget, but how to apply it into living a very productive, fun, and frugal lifestyle. I highly recommend it!!!

I am not just out of college and have been supporting myself quite effectively for a while now. But I still found this book helpful and informative for its advice on doing things frugally. I especially loved the chapter on entertaining. I have always been shy about hosting events because I was always afraid I couldn't pull it off. It's not just the expense; the entire thing seems overwhelming. But, the book makes it easy. It not only gives advice and direction on how throw a party one can actually afford and therefore enjoy but also gives instructions on everything from how much liquor to buy to what kind of music to play to determing the guest list. I just might entertain a little more often.

I was unable to enjoy this book as it was more for beginning savers only. More seasoned savers will find this book very basic and repetitive. There was nothing in this book that I did not already know and seemed like it was written for a girl that is still in college, just moved out of her parents house, or fresh out of college. Do not purchase this book if you have been saving for a few months and researching online as most of this information is dated.

I still enjoyed reading your tips on romance & marriage and investing. Thanks for publishing such a wonderful
guide for young women. You've done a great service.

I just wanted to say how FABULOUS this book is! I'm a senior in college, getting ready to go to law school and hopefully move out soon, and this book has been like a Bible to me! It has such great ideas and helps people like me who are getting ready to go out into the "real world" on a budget. This has been the most valuable female-oriented reference I have ever owned (and I have read many self-help books!) Mrs. Melcher is a very informative and talented writer.

I picked this up because I'm in my 20s and just moved into a house. Kris has great tips on how to decorate and live frugally-but her tips go beyond that. This book is perfect for a college student looking for big sisterly advice on everything from career to fashion and entertaining people in your home. Some of my favorite parts were the make-at-home spa products! This will save me a bundle!

I really enjoyed it. Had fabulous Ideas. The only Con is it deals with some things that only apply to places where there are season changes. I live in SoCal so that wasn't very helpful because we don't have that, but otherwise it was pretty good.
