I became a really big Colt Ford Fan after hearing his first album...Ride through the Country. That album is so good, its hard to get much better. But Colt Ford is Back with Chicken and Biscuits, And this is great. It has more of a Nasville country feel to it, but with some of that Colt Ford rap flavor. I would Highy recomend this album to not only Colt fans but for anyone who is looking for some good country/rap twang. Love it!

I'm not an expert on either rap or country but Colt Ford blends the two just fine. I like his rhymes and each of his guest singers are great choices to balance his raps. The songs are nicely produced, upbeat, made for a good time. Feels like the CD would be perfect for any outdoor party. No cursing. Reviving 'Convoy' was a brilliant move.

Colt Ford is great. This album is just as good as the last one. Very upbeat. Everyone who hears it loves it. Country rap. Who would have thought.

Chicken & Biscuits is down to earth and funny in places. Combining country and rap is definately different and unique, and I love it. I have never been a fan of country or rap but Colt Ford has changed my outlook. I listened to this cd about 6 times in a 2 day period and became hooked. I never would have thought that this rock and roll woman could be persuaded to like country or rap but Colt Ford did it. I highly recommend that everyone add Chicken & Biscuits to their collection. You won't regret it.

Seriously. I don't understand how he got a record deal. Very limited musical talent. He features someone else to sing every chorus and his rhymes are generic and mediocre. Jason Aldean may have ripped off "Dirt road anthem" but at least he can carry a tune

Every now & then, someone, needs to come along, and "shake-up" the music world, and that is what Colt Ford has done. As I mentioned in my title, I recently saw Colt Ford, and his large backing band, perform live at the Northeast Louisiana "Delta Music", Festival. He started his show off with the song "Chicken & Biscuits". I'd never heard anything, quite like this. He has his own "very unique style", of "country hip-hop, along, with some rap & southern rock", however, all his songs have one thing in common, they all have a solid country theme. After the show, I purchased this CD, and I really like it.
I did some research on Colt Ford, and found out he is from Athens, Georgia. I bought a picture of him at the concert, and in the picture, he is wearing a shirt, with a Rebel flag patch, plus an Allman Brothers Band Logo patch. This CD contains a lot of collaborations with many, many various country music artists & singers, including Jame Otto, Randy Houser, Ty Stone, Josh Gracin, Darryl Worley, Rhett Adkins, Joe Nichols, and several others. All the songs are uniquely, good, if you accept and like this "style", of country music, which I do. I know on one song, I think it's "Hip-Hop in a Honky Tonk", he mentions something about "Old Hank didn't do it this way", anyway, it's a great song. Also, I like his "take" on the old 70's C.W. McCall's "Convoy", it brought back some fond memories, and I liked Colt's new unique style, applied to this great "oldie". Overall, I like this CD, and Colt Ford, and his uniqie music style in general. Thanks!!!!

Terrible,
This review is from: Chicken And Biscuits (MP3 Download)
Nothing about Colt Ford is "country music." Ford has figured out that he couldn't make it as a real artist in country music so is now attempting to make it big by country-rap. Actually, I'm not sure if I would classify Ford's music as "rap" as much as it's just talking fast. The fact that every nearly every song is a duet with an established name proves that Ford can't make it on his own. This CD is another sad attempt at making it big in the music business, and, unfortunately for fans of true country music, Ford seems to have found a marketing team that can make this a "hit."

Colt Ford shouldn't be classified as country music. I guess he is trying to make country more fun and be entertaining, but this is just horrible music. I listened to about a minute of each song and couldn't take it anymore.
