I didn't expect much from this game, but it still failed to meet expectations. Utterly boring. Particularly annoying was the fact that the shotgun assembly is designed to use the wii nunchuck so that the "z" key functions as the trigger. But the game only works using the wii controller, which is to be placed in the barrel of the gun. In other words, you can't play the game using the shotgun! For $20 more, the Nerf N-Strike Elite is well-designed, exciting and an appropriate shooting game for young children. If you want a shooting game, Chicken Shoot is NOT it.

I too, like the reviewer before me did not expect very much from this game at all. I purchased it for my two young sons and spent 10 minutes getting the 20" blaster hooked up with the nunchuck and everything and thought I was good to go. Wrong! What a marketing gimmick! Include a wii shotgun 20" blaster and accompany it with a game that can't take advantage of the nunchuck as a trigger!. There should be some sort of class action suit started for this.. I personaly think it could not have taken more than 2 weeks to completely develop and release this game to market. It is not very good. That said, both of my kids do have some fun every once and a while but 100% without the 20" blaster that (for me anyways) was the selling point. Do yourself a favor and just get the game a la carte, if you even want to get that..

The game is a lot of fun but the gun is useless and awkward. Once we discarded the gun and just used the controllers, we had a ball. My wife would have given it a higher rating but she can't beat me so she will only go with a four.
