I read this book to my first grade class because we are learning about farm animals. They really enjoyed the pictures. It was easy for them to understand the vocabulary.

I bought this book with some others before we incubated some eggs. It had no information on development of chicks within the egg. It was about different aspects of raising chickens and was mostly pictorial.

We are a homeschooling family and we bought this book to have on hand. We are also currently raising our own flock of egg laying chickens so it has been fun to read books about chickens themselves. It taught us a thing or two and most importantly, the kids enjoyed the book.
