Now I'm just you average 15 year old schmo but when I saw the movie Chicken Run I was amazed at the quality visuals, musical score and the script! So when I discovered it was available as a PSX game I didn't think it could match the High Standards of the movie. I was wrong, so so wrong... Chicken Run is amazing! The visuals are great - infact they look just like the real clay-mation in the film! The score, although no different from the movie is still pleasing and the script is good too. Its kinda a bit like Metal Gear Solid, while (you) the chicken tries to escape from the tweedy's, the dogs etc you can actually hide in shadows and behind things just like Metal Gear Solid! Its even more fun when you use a Dual Shock Controller. Altough Chicken Run is nowhere near as long as your average RPG like FF8 or whatever - its just as entertaining! I really had heaps of fun playing it! Buy it.

Chicken Run's graphics are great. It's like watching the movie. It's fun to also play as diffferent characters. But the frustrating part of the game is trying to save it in difficult spots. You have to keep going back to the same hut in order to save and sometimes you lose more items trying to get back to the hut to save the game. If you can get past that frustration, the game is fun to play!

Considering how much I loved the movie, this game was a big disappointment. Although it has nice graphics, some clips from the film, and a soundtrack based on the film's theme music, the game play itself leaves much to be desired. The dogs and the Tweedys are really, really hard to avoid, unless you use "tiptoe" mode and go the long way around in all the shadows -- which is very slow and tedious. It gets boring fast. Although you can distract the dogs by throwing a Brussel sprout, there's no way to eliminate them, even for a while. It would have been better if you could bribe the dogs with food, lock them in one area of the compound, tie them up on a rope, etc. Or maybe just let sleeping dogs lie. Frankly, the logic of having dogs loose inside the chicken yard escapes me (pun intended) -- no real farmer would do that! In the movie, the dogs patroled outside the fence, but were not running loose between the huts. In the game, they're everywhere. Even after you get back inside the compound, you get caught going to the hut where you have to save the pieces. ARGHHHHHH!!! When a dog or a Tweedy catches you (and that happens a LOT!), you lose whatever item you just collected, and have to go back and get it again. Granted, you get an infinite number of tries (nobody gets killed in this game), but by level 3, I was too frustrated to continue playing. On the other hand, some reviewers here did enjoy the game. My recommendation would be to rent one and try it out first, then decide for yourself.

Chicken Run is the worst game I have ever played. The graphcs are good, but the only veiw you can have is above the character. If you go out in the open the dogs will be on you very quickly which makes it hard to complete your missions. Don't waste your money or time on this game.

NO CHICKEN ESCAPE....,

This was a fun game to conquer. Quite tricky in fact and you need to use a little bit of your head to figure out how to complete all the items on the lists you are given at the start of each act. I have to say this has been the most fun I have had with an "adventure" type game. My favorite line in the whole game is Mr. Tweedy's "No Chicken Escape" dialogue when he catches you. LOL. Graphics was excellent and if you saw the movie, it really mimics the storyline very well. The controls are easy to master and as a previous reviewer mentioned, it is best used with a dual shock controller. It just makes the game more lively. Have fun playing this game and go prove Mr. Tweedy wrong and Escape!
