Paradise? There's something creepy under those swaying palms,
By A Customer
This review is from: Chicken Skin: True Spooky Stories of Hawaii (Paperback)
The Hawaii known for its swaying palms and crashing seas is not the one depicted here. "Chicken Skin", the Hawaiian term for Goosebumps, makes us realize that paradise is not exempt from the supernatural. It is a wonderfully scary collection of true ghost stories retold by the affected locals. Best read under flickering candlelight.

As a child, I grew up with these stories. Hawai'i is a place of many such stories. I was thrilled to see this book as was my mother. She purchased a copy of this book for each of her children and grand-children. My children love this book, rereading it many times, and have pronounced the best scary story book ever. They are taking it with us on their first ever trip to visit Hawai'i.
It is very well written and is a great addition to any trip to O'ahu, Hawaii. |
