This is a wonderful book for anyone who loves horses and real life stories of horses in people's lives. Highly recommend it. Easy reading.

This book is much like the first Chicken Soup for the Horse Lover's Soul. In fact, after reading the first book, I read several excerpts in the second book that I thought may have been in book 1. There were cute stories and cute cartoons in this book as well. I particularly liked the quotes scattered throughout the book. Any horse lover or rider will find at least one story that they can relate to if not more. If you are a horse owner, you likely will want to go out and hug your horse after this read :)

Chicken Soup for the Horse Lover's Soul II is a heart-warming book. It is full of touching stories involving horses. It is the kind of book that will make you laugh, smile, and cry. Many of the short stories are sad, but they will leave you with touched. On the other side of the spectrum, some of the stories will have you laughing.

Those of us that have had horses in your life at one time or another will feel a connection to this book. It is definitely a book for horse lovers. Having had some wonderful horses in my life, this book hit home. It made me realize how much of an inspiration horses have been in my life. Having a deep connection with a horse is an experience like no other. It was a great read and absolutely amazing.

I purchased this book from Amazon.com as a present for a friend. She had lost her "best friend," a 30 year old quarter horse, two years ago. She wasn't sure if she could learn to love another horse but she was proven wrong when she met a horse named "Stormy." She kept making excuses as to why it wouldn't work out but she finally gave in and now "Stormy" has a new home. The first few days were a little rough with both of them getting used to one another. I was checking out equine books to purchase as a gift when I saw the Chicken Soup books for horse lovers. I am so glad I purchased the books I and II as my friend loves them. I highly recommend the Chicken Soup books as a gift, there is one for everybody on your list.

Just like its predecessor, this book is full of touching stories that will warm the heart of any horse lover. For those of you who decide to buy this book, you will not be disappointed.

Almost any horse book with entertaining stories is worth reading for the true horse lover, but this one stretched my patience. The quality of the stories does not remotely compare to the first book, and many are very trite and frankly uninteresting. I do not recommend this book. It's one that I purchased for a friend, and got one for myself. I'm sorry on both counts....

Another great book of stories about horses & how they have affected the lives of the humans that care for them!
