Americans salute our military and are so very proud of those serving at home and abroad. But we often forget the wives who make homes for these heroes and tend to their children. The Chicken Soup Series has provided tributes to the women who serve too. These stories take the reader from the sad times for these families to the hilarious....a great cross-section of military life as it is lived by every service branch. It is a peek into personal stories written by women who have lived with and loved the heroes we all honor. You'll laugh and you'll cry with these women, but most of all, you'll find inspiration for your own life.

I have read many of the Chicken Soup books, but being a military spouse this is the one that really touched my heart the most! Because it allows you to know their are other spouses out there who feel the same pain of deployment, and problems that being a military family will bring.

This book is a must for any military wife struggling with deployment. My husband was recently deployed with the National Guard, leaving me at home hours away from family to take care of our 9 month old son. When I came upon this book, I HAD to buy it and I'm glad I did. All of the stories are encouraging to a military wife, no matter what branch of service their husband is in.

I have to say that this has become my favorite Chicken Soup to date. This arrived a couple of weeks before my husband's deployment. I opened the book and randomly read one of the stories with my husband. We were both in tears within seconds. Being a military wife has its ups and downs and it can be difficult to explain to others the myriad of emotions deployment brings. Reading through this book was just one more thing to bring my husband and I closer together. Knowing that there are other military wives experiencing the same things is a big help. We certainly could do it all alone, but we don't have to and these stories remind us of that. Great Job!

After reading a couple of bad reviews about this book being cheesy or not very good I was sceptical about buying it, but I am very happy that I did. Being an ARMY wife along with a member of the military myself, I thought this was a very good book. My husband is currently 3 months into a year long deployment, while I am home with our 1 year old son, so I couldn't put this book down. Its very inspirational to read other families and other wives stories about going through the situation I am in now. I also think its very nice to be reminded of the pride and support that fellow Americans feel for the military, military spouses, and for their county. Its nice to see that the authors of this book along with others recognize the hardships and sacrifices that we as military wives make while our husbands are deployed. I think this is an outstanding book and a must have for any military wife!!

As with all of the other Chicken Soup books, the stories are moving, inspirational and heartfelt. It is a must have for any military families library.

This has to be one of the most inspirational military spouse books that I have ever read. Dosen't matter what branch, just the stories in and of themselves are incredible. I still read it over and over again...I did especially when my husband was deployed. And even now, these stories really touch my heart deeply. I have even emailed some of the ladies that contributed stories to the book, and they responded. I thought that was pretty cool as well! I highly recommend this book!!! To anyone!

This book is a must have for families with a deployed spouse. The title "Stories to touch the heart and rekindle the spirit" is an accurate way to describe this book. Just have a box of kleenex handy!!!!!!!

I have to say that this is by far one of the BEST military spouse books out there! While reading some of the stories i could really relate and would cry tears of joy or sorrow. I think that if you are a spouse of someone in the military you should read this. Even the men yes i know it's for the wives but i think that the hubsands would enjoy it if it's them that is the spouse going through it.

I think this book is so cute I cry every time I pick it up my hubby just got back from OIF2 and is about to go to OIF3 and I can read this book and know what the women is thinking about at that min. funny how we all have the same storys VERY VERY good book I tell all my friends they have to read it and if they are not reading it I tell them the storys in it SO SO good
