Every Chicken Soup for the Soul book truly tugs at my heart strings. Whether is the Chicken Soup book for Moms, Christians, Dog Lovers, Families...whatever!

They move my heart and encourage my spirit to keep fighting and striving...whatever my personal situation may be.

The Extraordinary Teens was no exception. In fact I found it be one of the best Chicken Soup Books. It is with out a doubt a book that you will want to get for family and friends...especially tweens, teens and young adults.

Before each story there is a small section that is labeled "Quick Facts". You will find tidbits of information on the author of the story you are about to read. It is a wonderful, insightful way to feel a bit more acquainted with the storyteller as you read about his or her life.

For instance...things I didn't know:

* Ryan Cabrera began playing guitar BY accident at age 16

* Anna Kournikova came to the United States at the young age of 9

* Danica McKellar has a BS in Mathematics from UCLA

* Brenda Song earned her black belt at age 14

Along with the little "inside" facts there are motivational and inspirational quotes and sayings throughout the book.

I enjoyed the soft spoken way that this particular Chicken Soup for the Soul book encourages teens and young adults to shoot for the moon regardless of the adversity that may lie ahead.
