This was a truly inspiring compilation of stories by our nation's veterans. Being in the Armed Forces myself, I really enjoyed these stories of men and women who served before I entered the military. This book made me so proud of our veterans. I enjoyed this book so much, I sent a copy to my grandfather, who served in World War II and now walkes and moves with much difficulty from wounds he received in combat. He also enjoyed this book, relating to many of the stories. I would definitely recommend this book to all our veterans and anyone who now serves in our Armed Forces. I would also highly encourage anyone else to read it. It really honors all the men and women who would sacrifice their lives for the priviledges and rights our country offers us.

This tribute to our veterans is incredibly powerful and quite moving. "Chicken Soup for the Veteran's Soul" should be in every household and history classroom in America. Whether you are a veteran or not, buy this book. Each story is fascinating and written from a very personal point of view. That makes it difficult to put down. Veterans Day will no longer be just another holiday to me thanks to "Vet's Soul".

This book was given to me by a good friend. He thought I, as a Vietnam vet, would identify with some of the stories. It is one of the absolutely most enjoyable books I have ever read. I even slowed down my usual reading speed to savor the stories . Each day, in the sunshine of my patio, I read two or three stories. Every story got my full attention. I even found one story about a man I knew in the army. I adamently recommend this book to any veteran.

This book was sent to me from a dear friend and I love this book so much. I think all Veterans will love it and heck anyone should. It is a book I will cherish always!

This book is just as good as all the other Chicken Soup books I've read. It makes you laugh and cry.

This should a must read for all Americans. Never Forget all those who served, and the stories of good men and women just trying to do what's right to serve their country and protect their comrades.

The Chicken Soup series are all excellent examples of the goodness of the human heart. The Chicken Soup for the Veteran's Soul is by far the best series of stories I have read. These stories range from bringing tears to the eyes to a warm smile of agreement. The first story "Freedom Village" is truly one of the most moving story of the Korean conflict I have ever heard. "Freedom Village" sets the tone for the entire volumn and the remainder of the shared stories are equal to the challenge. I highly recommend the book.

Countless stories of generosity, sacrifice and remembrance specifically from veterans, their families and people they encountered. Notable contributors include Colin Powell, Charles Kuralt and John McCain. Great stories about people in difficult situations during times of war. Heartfelt and inspirational.

This book was purchased for my husband. He has b een enjoying the stories. This is the first Chicken Soup for the Soul Book that he has read. I believe he is now hooked on them

This book is full of short stories by veteranns about veterans. I must recommend this book for anyone that has any affiliation to a veteran, simply the best, short stores from all wars and conflicts that will cause you to swell up with love and pride.
