I bought this pack as a little daypack for my trip to Nicaragua. I planned to use it while hiking around as well as on the plane as a way to separate out the things I wanted to use on the plane from everything else. I took a few things out of my regular bag, placed them in the pack and before I'd even left Seatac (my home airport) the backpack strap had already ripped out. It didn't even last a few minutes with a tiny bit of weight in it. The bag was not even full.

I've managed to sew up the issue and have been still using it on my trip in Nicaragua however I'd suggest before you leave home with this bag that you test it for a few weeks as the quality doesn't seem quite high enough.

If you plan on using this on a regular basis you'll definitely want the sternum strap. It would be mostly useless and wouldn't stay on without it.

Not impressed but will maybe consider exchanging it for another when I get home. Maybe it's just this one?

Just received this pack, I bought it to use as a day back for a Boundary Waters trip. I wanted something I could pack in my main pack and pull out once we got there, and this fit the bill.

My first impression is that it is quite a design... someone gave this a lot of thought. I'm glad it came with the sternum strap because it will probably make it much easier to hike and not constantly have to pull up the straps on your shoulder. I think I will be able to fit everything I need... the water bottle holders stretch, and look like they can accomdate a rather large and tall bottle.

I will be interested to see out it holds up in the rugged outdoors.. that is probably my only worry. I have a feeling it is more designed for urban use. It is VERY lightweight, which is great for packing... the material feels pretty durable, but I guess we'll see how it holds up with snags and what not. I do think it will make a fantastic airplane carry on.... very compact and light, and you can fit plenty into it.

Overall I'm happy with this... I would recommend it. It is very innovative and I can see myself using it fairly often.
