The Best Sir Mix-a-lot Album Hands Down, April 15, 2003
This review is from: Chief Boot Knocka (Audio CD)
I first heard Chief Boot Knocka in my friend's car. We got lost so i managed to listen to the whole cd in one sitting. I must say that it is in my top 5 cds of all time. This is coming from a metal fan! This cd is Mix at his prime. The rhymes and beats flow so well together that you might wonder why this movie didn't surpass Mack Daddy in popularity. Songs like Nasty Dog and Don't Call Me Da Da show how well Mix can incorporate stories into his songs and still make them work. Let it Beaounce and Ride show off his production skills. Every single song on this cd is amazing. After buying this cd, i listened to it at 4 in the morning driving to work EVERY DAY for the whole summer and never got tired of it. It does not matter if you are a rap fan because i sure am not. I grew up on Metallica, Tool, Pantera, Sepultura, and Nine Inch Nails. That is what surprised me so much about this CD! If you are a music fan go out and buy this CD. it will be worth whatever price you pay for it, believe me!

The Mix-a-Lot Game is Tough, September 24, 1999
This review is from: Chief Boot Knocka (Audio CD)
The Mix kicks. I bought this album because Baby Got Back ruled so much, but I already had that CD single. Since then I have purchased "Mack Daddy", too. Chief Boot Knocka is much better and in my opinion is Mix's most underrated album.

His Best Album To Date..., June 1, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Chief Boot Knocka (Audio CD)
This is a must-have for rap fans. There is not another artist in the hip-hop genre that can master a track and make you bob your head the way Mix does. He is truly original both musically and lyrically. You WILL tap you hands, feet, whatever. And you WILL laugh. Mix's previous albums have become icons in the world of hip-hop. But this one is, by far, his best to date.
