In this compendium of short pieces, Schnebly Heidinger gives a broad sampling of what it means to be from Arizona. Residents will likely nod in agreement, while tourists will delight to find vivid accounts relating to many of the people and places they have sampled as they've journeyed through the cities...and the country. Highly recommended if you are traveling to Arizona sometime soon.

What an engaging collection of stories about Arizona marked with a unique blend of sensitivity and reverence! This book is a journey through time and landscape and each night, after I closed the cover and turned off the light, the stories danced in my head. The author is a master at linking people and places, bringing history to life, capturing our imaginations and leaving us a little more thankful to live in a state with such a fascinating past.
