5.0 out of 5 stars Cheiftec Bravo Case, October 8, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Chieftec Bravo BL-01B-OP L-Type Chassis, Black, w/o PSU (Personal Computers)
Well every computer case should be bought for a purpose; Gamers will build a case for excessive cooling while playing,a basic email/web cruiser machine will be a no frills box and not do much of anything. So that is the 2 EXTREMES this bravo computer case is a basic box with a monitor mounting gimmick that is pretty well thought out.It will hold a nice full size atx mobo easily and has room for a standard length power supply of your choice.. forget using the longer high watt power supplies they wont have room. The HDD and DVD Burner mounting is neat simple and works without hassle.Heat dissipation in this case is about medium effective.
What I mean to get across is that you will be unhappy if you load this case up with high heat dumping video cards etc.. it is not meant for that, however this case will do very well with a "good" 150 buck low end video card ..which nowadays is pretty much the minimum for a larger 24 " plus monitor.I have installed a dell 24" and it went super easy and the monitor feels very secure or safely mounted.I have a 550 watt Modular psu and a quad core Intel setup inside ..it has room for a full length video card like a 9800.When this case is put together the cabling is neat and looks nice.. no need for a haywire setup that the smaller cube cases force you to do.The airflow seems very good for just the one 120mm fan,if you wanted you could put in 2 more smaller fans right over the power supply. But if you use a psu with a big 4 inch fan it more than ventilates itself with NO weird heat build up issues...
My cpu temps are all normal ergo maybe 95F at idle and up to 120F when actually doing something like converting a video etc.. i use a lower profile or medium profile CPU heat-pipe cooler with downward facing fan.Anyway it saved a ton of room vs a mATX cube case with the monitor sitting on top or a standard case.I am very happy with this case .. but it is no more or no less than a general use or well thought out (heat wise)gamer..I have built computers with the Panzerbox case, the Corsair 800D ,Antec p180 and several cube type cases.I know what an Intel I740 CPU with an evga classified mobo,Corsair h50 water cooling ,raid zero etc etc needs to function without frying itself.Do not buy this case hoping to do a high end computer.. forget it don't be stupid.. but for a general use computer case this works out well in space saving on the desk..note only one dvd burner can be mounted and 3 hdd drives..that's my take on this item .. well made not junk..easy to build in .. room for big hands ...and the monitor mounting system is top notch.. not a bad deal .. I WOULD BUY THIS AGAIN WITHOUT HESITATION FOR A NORMAL USE COMPUTER

5.0 out of 5 stars Super case!, July 21, 2011

This review is from: Chieftec Bravo BL-01B-OP L-Type Chassis, Black, w/o PSU (Personal Computers)
Excuse for my English, I'm from Russia :)

For the reason of a small place in my housing space very much it would be desirable to reduce the area occupied with my working equipment. Monoblocks have disappeared for the reason impossibility of upgrades.

Has as a result ordered on Amazone with delivery DHL.
Cunningly quickly and with slightly crushed package. Package has appeared native factory, therefore all has managed a little beaten foam plastic, the case has come in an excellent state.

In the case 1 slot under 5 "devices and 3 slots on 3". The standard size of motherboards AT\ATX.

Case pluses - now at me "monoblock" with the monitor takes on desktop hardly more places at thickness, behind desktop there are no wires (only 2 power supply), all is accurately fixed. Case minuses - high coolers on CPU won't rise (or a cooler will be under the cover of the case), distance on height in a bay for motheboard 12 sm, Therefore select lowprofile variants of CPU cooler.

I'm vary glad! Thank you, seller!
