Chika Unigwe is a celebrated Afro-Belgian writer of Nigerian origin. She writes in both Dutch and English and has been shortlisted for prizes in both languages.
Always best known for her short fiction Chika has won the BBC Short Story competition for her story “Borrowed Smile” and the Commonwealth Short Story Award for “Weathered Smiles”. Her stories have been broadcast on BBC World Service, Radio Nigeria, and other Commonwealth Radio Stations.
