This album will stand the test of time,
This review is from: Child Bearing Man (Audio CD)
I first heard of Little Teeth when Northwestern University's WNUR played Oh Drag. My first impression was that it wasn't much more than creatively arranged chaos, but the more I listened, the more I was transported by the emotion and raw power in Dannie Murrie's voice. Then I heard Japanese Candy on Chicago's WXRT and decided I officially liked this band.
Make no mistake, there's plenty of chaos in Little Teeth's music, but it's definitely a celebratory chaos, as opposed to a disturbed chaos (I'm at a loss for examples for comparison). I'm listening to the album as I write this, and I feel giddy despite the fact that it's miserably wet, cold and overcast on my Saturday off. Thanks Little Teeth!
