Child Finder Based on Real Life Experiences...

Follow the Paranormal Adventures of an Air Force Special Agent as the Government Exploits His Psychic Abilities to Rescue Abducted Children

Major Patrick O Donnell, an Air Force Special Agent assigned to the Pentagon, begins experiencing haunting nightmares about children who have been abducted and murdered before their bodies are found. It quickly becomes apparent that he has a special psychic gift that the government is all too eager to exploit.

He is drawn into a TOP SECRET black world community overseen by the FBI that leverages his skills to solve child abductions. Soon Pat discovers that this black world has an even darker underbelly when those close to him begin to die mysteriously.

Pat is Irish-Catholic, and he must draw upon his faith and values to sustain and guide him as he faces tough ethical decisions, challenges to his marriage, and the very real threat of harm to his own children...all because of his work.

Perhaps some secrets are best kept hidden . . .

Advance Praise for Child Finder

VERDICT:
This compelling debut novel, the first in a trilogy, features a memorable protagonist who is a combination of devoted father and mystic.
For fans of supernatural thrillers and those who enjoy the TV show Medium, this is a real find.
The author is a retired U.S. Air Force agent whose real-life experiences inspired this novel.
[Coming in 2010 are the second and third novels in the trilogy, Child Finder: Resurrection and Child Finder: Revelation. Ed.]
--Library Journal 6/1/2009

Slick....Mike has done a terrific job of transitioning from running counterintelligence operations and writing reports to creative fiction....his passion for writing coupled with years of experience in law enforcement has produced a wonderful read for mystery enthusiasts!
--Dick Law, Colonel, USAF (Retired),
Managing Editor, Global Alliance Magazine
Former Vice Commander, OSI

Child Finder is a gripping, intriguing, rare and accurate look into the U.S. Intelligence Community. Angley uses his long government career to weave a believable fiction tale that is as current as today s news.
--Gerald E. Pratt,
Operations Officer, National Security Agency (Retired)

Mike has created a page turner I didn't want to put down with a plot twist I never saw coming! Angley s imagination combined with his in-depth knowledge of the OSI, Interagency, and military working environments quickly and realistically took me back to my time at the Pentagon in the Fall of 2001. Can t wait for the next books in the series to see what exploits are in store for USAF OSI Agent Patrick O'Donnell and his extraordinary gift!
--Jack Holt

Action Officer, Joint Staff USAF (Retired)

I loved this book! This is a book for anyone who loves political suspense, secret government agencies, and uniquely gifted heroes! A former Military Intelligence Officer, the author s background adds credibility to this fascinating look into covert operations. But just because he knows what he is talking about does not mean he can tell a good story or especially write one! Luckily for those of us who love secret undercover organizations, paranormal stories, and great intriguing suspense filled tales, Mike Angley has it all together. I can t wait to read the next two books in the series!

About the Author

Colonel Michael Mike Angley, USAF (ret) enjoyed a rewarding 25-year career as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI). He is a seasoned criminal investigator and a counterintelligence and counterterrorism specialist. He received extensive training in Undercover Operations and Informant Management, and early in his career performed undercover work for the Air Force. Mike explains how this background has shaped his writing:

Child Finder gets its inspiration from my life s experiences. In particular, every single crime I investigated involving child victims literally broke my heart. The Child Finder Trilogy in some respects has given me an outlet to express that emotion, while weaving a few intriguing suspense tales along the way!

More About the Author

Mike Angley is the multi award-winning author of the Child Finder Trilogy. He retired as a Colonel from the Air Force in 2007 following a 25-year career as a Special Agent with the Office of Special Investigations (OSI). He held 13 different assignments throughout the world, among which were five tours as a Commander of various units, to include two Air Force Squadrons and a Wing. He is a seasoned criminal investigator and a counterintelligence and counterterrorism specialist. In his last assignment, he was Commander of OSI Region 8 with responsibility for all of Air Force Space Command. Among other things, he was the chief architect of all space-related counterintelligence programs where he exercised responsibility over anything entering or exiting the Earth's atmosphere. Much of what he experienced in those heady, esoteric days, to include what he calls "sexy technology," informed his writing and inspired his trilogy.

His debut novel, Child Finder, received the Silver Medal for Fiction in the 2009 Military Writers Society of America's (MWSA) Annual Awards program. When it debuted in June 2009, it earned placement on Library Journal's Summer Reads List. His second novel, Child Finder: Resurrection, received a fiction award in the 2010 Annual Awards Contest of the Public Safety Writers Association, and it also won a Silver Medal for Fiction from the MWSA in the 2010 Annual Awards Program!

Mike writes thrillers with a paranormal twist. His protagonist is a man whose deep faith guides him through his page-turning perils. The Child Finder Trilogy is a hot thriller series with a light, somewhat edgy spiritual theme...it is not typical Christian fiction. But fans of that genre as well as suspense and thriller enthusiasts thoroughly enjoy it!

About his military career: Following the 1996 Khobar Towers terrorist attack in Saudi Arabia, Angley was dispatched to command all OSI units throughout the Middle East, with responsibility for 23 countries. During his tenure, he and his teams effectively neutralized numerous terrorist threats to U.S. forces in the region, to include an imminent threat to senior Department of Defense officials. In 2004, he commanded all OSI units in South Korea where he and his teams countered a classified target in Seoul. For his efforts, the President of South Korea presented him with a Presidential Citation and medal, and the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) Commissioner decorated him with the KNPA Medal of Cooperation.

Earlier, while commanding an OSI unit in northern Japan, Angley conducted an operation that effectively blocked a KGB agent's efforts to steal critical U.S. technology, and thereby stymied Soviet military advances for years. In 1999, he was the Chief of counterintelligence within the Directorate of Intelligence, U.S. Strategic Command. His office competed for the prestigious Killian Award, a White House level honor that annually recognizes the very best intelligence unit in the entire U.S. government. His unit came in as first runner-up for this significant honor.

Michael Angley has an M.A. in National Security Affairs from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA, and a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Psychology from King's College, Wilkes-Barre, PA. In 2001, he served as a National Defense Fellow and Adjunct Professor of International Relations at Florida International University, Miami, FL.

Mike and Evelyn, his wife of 25 years, make their home in Colorado Springs, CO. They have three children, and they can usually be found chasing their rambunctious beagle, Brynn.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Read, July 31, 2009

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Child Finder (Hardcover)
I just finished reading Child Finder and found it to be a riveting first novel. The first in a trilogy, this book held my attention and toward the end I was really getting concerned that it would not have a break point that would satisfy me, leaving me frustrated waiting for the next volume. However, Mr Angley masterfully wove the story to a point that simultaneously left me satisfied but thoroughly tantalized and waiting for the next volume.
If you want to see an author just beginning his way up, this is an excellent bet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Captivating! A Must Read!!, June 27, 2009

An absolute number one summer read!!This book should come with the WARNING:Once you meet Patrick O'Donnell and his family and travel with him through his suspenseful work you will be captivated! I could not set this one down! An exciting, easy read that was over all too soon....anxiously awaiting Child Finder:Resurrection so I can continue this wonderful escape into a reading pleasure! One can identify easily with the characters even through the government's interwining suspense and intrigue. My advice is pick it up, you won't want to put it down, and most importantly you won't be disappointed...bonus is the opportunity you will now have to be able to participate in the conversations of what everyone will soon be talking about...let the trilogy begin...
