Pop with a different flavor,

This review is from: Child of Love (Audio CD)
If you are looking for American pop - buy American pop! If you have a taste for something a little different, you might want to try Sarit Hadad. You get a pop sensibility, but some very different flavors. This CD has her entry to the Eurovision contest "Light A Candle", along with a bunch of other excellent songs. They are all in Hebrew, with the exception of some stray lyrics, like the refrain from "Light A Candle".
Sarit sings in the "oriental" style with trilling vibratto vocals, which may sound unusual the first time you hear it. Still I very much enjoy the music. I recommend "Ani Lo Madonnah" (I'm Not Madonna) and "Karnival", though I enjoy all the cuts. Give this a taste, if you are willing to step outside the narrow constraints of M.O.R. American pop. |
