5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, succinct and timely, June 10, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: The Child in Mind: A Child Protection Handbook (Hardcover)
This small child protection guide book answers a lingering call. In such a chaotic child protection service with its disjointed organisation and disparate proffesionals this guide provides much needed clarity. It's beauty lies in its brevity. For proffesionals uncertain of procedures or signs of abuse this guide is clear, erudite, accessible and comprehensive. Written by two practising professionals it has the added benefit of experience. For any health service workers this is a reference book that every person must have. And in wider society, anyone who cares for the well-being of children should read this book. It unravels some difficult signs of abuse and provides a clear course of action for any coming across an abused child. A much needed, welcomed and hopefully widely read book. Magisterial performance.
