This review is from: Help Your Child Avoid Multiple Sclerosis, A Parenting Decision (Paperback)
This book is, without a doubt, the most documented book on the various aspects of MS that I've ever seen. It gives the reader realistic facts about this disease that are unknown to much of the general population. I had not realized there are so many factors which can put certain individuals into a higher risk category for developing MS. As a parent, and now a grandparent, I was totally unaware of what a great influence geography and migration have on MS. We never thought about moving to a low risk area or state. By luck, we did.

Heredity/Genetics are discussed in plain and simple language. It's an important factor in MS everyone should know about. The chapter on viruses as triggers was so interesting. The discussion on cats and dogs is alarming. The chapter dealing with sucide is also disturbing. "What Should I Be Prepared For?" puts every parent and grandparent on notice for tell-tale early symptoms and signs.

The book is written in easy to understand language and is well worth reading by all parents, as well as friends and families of those already touched by MS. It tells you like it is. Let's find a cure?
