About the Author
Margerie Hicks is the author and publisher of two additional guides to Colorado schools, Colorado Private Elementary and Secondary Schools and The Guide to Metro Denver Public Schools, both currently in their fifth editions. She is a former classroom teacher who keeps current on educational and child care issues, trends, and programs through her extensive research for the books.
Margerie is the parent of two adult children who have had very different educational needs. The guides she writes are the outgrowth of her previous searches to find the right programs for her own children and of her belief that parents need to know the child care and educational options for their children. Ms. Hicks gives a one-evening seminar, Choosing the Right School for Your Child, at a number of locations around the Metro Denver area.
