3.0 out of 5 stars A few excellent points, but a bit basic, August 16, 2006

Overall this was a good book. Its organization was a bit off - it began with assessing how your child it doing in school, discussed how to interact with teachers to gain their favor, expanded into a few study tips for making your child a successful student, discussed how to evaluate a school, and then concluded with how to get your child into the school of your choice.

As a parent of a pre-school aged child, I was more interested with the last items first (step one=get the good school, step two=get the good teacher, step three=make the child a better student, etc.), and then the details later. The study tips and homework advice were a bit off-topic and redundant in my opinion.

A good read overall.
