A must-read for anyone touched by adoption/infertility,
This review is from: Child of Promise (Paperback)
This book provides an honest insight into the rollercoaster ride of infertility and adoption, but it's permeated with the hope that can only be found in the Christian faith. This true account is emotional and inspiring, but is as riveting as a fictional novel. It makes a great gift for anyone who has ever struggled with infertility or for anyone celebrating the joy of adoption. Every OB/GYN office and pregnancy center should own a copy.

Encouraging story,
This review is from: Child of Promise (Paperback)
Child of Promise is the true story of Phil and Debbi Migit's adoption journey. After years of unsuccessfully trying to have children themselves, Debbie was at a spiritual crisis. "Where is God in all this? Why doesn't He bless us with children? Won't we make good parents?" Then out of the blue she received a letter from an old friend explaining her inability to have children and the adoption of her daughter. "Adoption. Is that what God has in mind for us?" Debbi wondered. Even after they had started the adoption process, it was a long arduous journey as God opens and closes doors. Finally after years of waiting and in God's perfect timing, Alex was adopted into the Migit family. This book paints a beautiful picture of God's faithfulness. We may have to wait for years for God to answer our prayers but God's way is always the best way. God's timing is always perfect. And His is always faithful to His children.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has struggled with adoption and infertility. Debbi speaks honestly about the ups and downs and ins and outs of both. I appreciated her references to her deep faith in God and how involved He is in her life.
