Child sexual assault is one of the most emotive issues of our times, David Finkelhor presents a calm and clear descriptive account of the relevant theories and research involved in this field. He outlines the many dynamics of csa ..looking at the social and moral issues involved, and at both the victim and the perpetrator and what brings about the dynamics of the possibilty of csa. A book for all those involved with survivors of csa, and even for general populace to help dispel some of the myths surrounding csa.

As a researcher, writer, and theorist on pedophilia, Finkelhor is unexcelled. The most significant part of this book is a discussion on what determines gender preference in pedophiles. If you can't get this book, any other book by Finkelhor would be fine.
