About the Author

Jayne Smith is the mother of three young children. Frustrated with the District Attorney's office and unable to afford a private attorney, she researched and successfully obtained her own child support order. She met many single parents wanting to do the same. She thought that if so many parents are asking her personally, perhaps many other custodial parents in CA could also use the information. Thus, this book.

Ms. Smith lives in Los Angeles with her children.

This book reads like it was written ten years ago, and updated to get a new publication date. The information is simplistic, and presented as if the author thinks her audience cannot understand. I quote: "Do you see my point? The court 'must' (a requirement), order 'additional support' (an increase, or more than)".
