An excellent help for parents! Most of us struggle with disciplining our kids. We wonder how, when, how much, what methods. This informative dvd gives practical, PROVEN techniques to help parents with day to day discipline. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and the many parents I know who use it say the same thing. Raising responsible, respectful, happy children is the most demanding job anyone will ever do. But with love and guidance, it is also the most rewarding.

Our Church has been looking for a study that covers healthy discipline of a child for some time now. Dr. James Dobson covers every age of discipline from birth - adolescence. I would highly recommend this study for parents. Very well done!

What a great resource for parents or any one who works with children and youth. Dr Dobson's approach is a practical hands on approach. Make sure you get the dvd that goes with the particpants guide for the best experience.

I host a weekly Bible study group and this series is awesome. We love the DVD and the book helps guide discussion. Our group has enjoyed this program and we have improved our parenting because of this study and most importantly the discussions. The book is broken down into a four sections (1) icebreaker discussion (2) video questions (3) support from the Bible, and (4) applying the content. Do not expect this book to solve every behavior problem, because it won't. The book also only scratches the surface on many topics, but gives you resources on how to address problems such as the "strong-willed" child. Overall, the book has 2 primary principles: Love and Control.

This is an excellent book to go along with the course on DVD.
