An Excellent Resource for Parents and Caretakers of School Age Children with Diabetes Elisa Hendel's A Child in Your Care has Diabetes: A Collection of Information is an excellent resource for any caretaker of a school age child who has been diagnosed with diabetes. This book simply and clearly explains and identifies the steps involved in caring for a child with this condition. The charts and lists have been most helpful in organizing material for school and after school activities. This book will direct caretakers to where they need to find additional answers with respect to the individual children. I recommend this book for all parents/caretakers/teachers/coaches and friends. I think it will help them to better understand diabetes, and additionally help the children who have diabetes, be safe when they are away from home.
