I am a doctoral student majoring in Child Development. I just finished reading this book and I absolutely loved it!

I have a burden to equip parents to become the spiritual leaders of their children. That is why this book is so meaningful not only to my field of study but also to my ministry to parents and children.

ChildFaith is a fantastic resource written for parents. It includes many helpful suggestions on how to foster spiritual growth in children. It includes a lot of meaningful footnotes with additional resources and personal stories. Especially helpful to me where the sections on:

Baby/infant and toddler/preschooler faith development including a great introduction to Godly Play.

Salvation and faith including stages that lead up to conversion and helpful ways to lead a child to Christ (excellent stuff).

Spiritual Disciplines and how to encourage their practice in the home.

Jewish feasts (Christian's spiritual roots) and how to integrate them to family life and make them memorable for children.

The Ratcliffs are very wise. Their writing is warm and accessible. Their book is a must-read for parents and children/family pastors. ChildFaith is a treasure!
