A modern classic,

Deppe presents a collection of poems based on careful observation. His images are rich and carefully spun and history as well as emotion are always underlying. He is one of the few modern poets who stays true to the lyrical nature of old masters, such as Dylan Thomas. This book is a stunning first effort.
