Book Description

June 1, 1996
Morgana Brejjard is the oldest daughter in the house of a northern land holder in a a hard-working, quiet society with no place for daydreams. But Morgana hears voices she cannot understand that seem to call her away from all that she has ever known. With an all-too-real vision calling for her help from Rejat, a Mirii Warrior/Healer, her Aunt Elas' surprising pronouncement of her heritage to the same forbidden order, followed by a heartless betrayal by her father, Morgana begins a journey with Rejat and her aunt to join the Mirii and the spirit companions, the Azerii; to learn of her destiny and to understand the voices that trouble her soul.

From the Author

This is not a fantasy. This is Spirit-call it what you will, God/Goddess/All That Is, showing me the way to live my life in joy in this reality. Through these 'stories' I learn about myself, how to release my past and heal myself and others with the unconditional love I feel from the Anarii-my teachers, my journey companions, my friends. Everything within these pages is a mirror to this life. When I write, I experience many of the events that my characters live, only from this reality's perspective. In this manner I learned many years ago that what we believe to be 'coincidence', is the Universe's way of getting our attention to something we need to see and act upon. The Anarii are Teachers, Masters, from everywhere in the Universe. They are a group consciousness of Light Beings. I know them as The Ancient Ones, The Ones Who Came Before All. They have taught me that we are never alone on our journey through life, that God is our constant companion, in whatever form or name we choose to label her, or him, or them. If it pleases you to call this a fantasy, so be it. That is your choice. I choose to move past my fear of being called 'crazy', since so much of my writing has proven true, and has brought me incredible joy and wisdom. Maybe we don't have the Azerii here, or the Mirii, and maybe we do... The Authoress

5.0 out of 5 stars A genuinely enjoable novel., May 17, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Children of the Anarii, Book I (Paperback)
I love a good fantasy, and that is precisely what Bek has crafted. From the first pages, the world of Elidar springs to full-blown life, peopled with mystical beings as well as ordinary humans, rife with conflict, mystery, danger, and adventure. Even romance is an element in the journey of Morgana, a young woman unaware that she is a Talent of the first order, chosen for a destiny of great importance. The LandsHolders have repudiated the Mirii as "witches", distrusting them for the unnatural powers they acquire when they meld with Azerii, light-beings capable of taking human form as well as those of several animals. When Morgana is mysteriously "called", her aunt reveals her own hidden Mirii status and persuades her to join her at the Gathering of the Mirii in a distant region. Events along the way reveal Morgana's special status, drawing in the various inhabitants of Elidar as ally or enemy. With a sure hand, Bek creates a realm which operates totally on its own inner structure and in which every aspect is thought out. A genuinely enjoyable novel! 5.0 out of 5 stars Book enthralls teen, April 28, 2004

This review is from: The Children of the Anarii, Book I (Paperback)
The Children of the Anarii was the most addicting book I have ever read. As I was reading, I pictured the text in a movie format, fearing that if I put the book down, I would miss something vital to the story line.
I have never read a fiction novel that was so developed in the characters and scenarios that I felt included in the story. Anyone who enjoys reading about things not usually discussed in main-stream fiction would absolutely love this book. As soon as I found out there were additional books, I found a place to order them. I want to thank Bek for supplying a book to the public that is so inspiring and thought provoking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Children of the Anarii, March 6, 2001

I became engrossed in the Children of the Anarii series of books, after reading the first book! These books are ground-breakers into a whole new literary art form, what I would call, spiritual fantasy fiction. These books take you on a spiritual fantasy, with words of wisdom for every persons spiritual growth, thrown in for good measure. My suggestion for book one - there is a dictionary and pronunciation guide at the back of the book.
