You know, there are frustrating moments in every parent's life - diapers, tantrums, sibling spats (and multiply by two if you have twins). Then there are the unforgettable moments - sticky hugs, wildflower bouquets, talents shows for the silly, and beneath it all, the awesome responsibility to nurture the children in the admonition and fear of the Lord.

This book is about this and much more. It's a collection of reflections which reminds the moms (and dads) that every day, whether we are frenzied, scared, angry, or serene, that it is filled with demonstrations of God's blessings - our children. I have needed these demonstrations repeatedly, and I highly recommend this book to those who are looking for a "daily boost," so to speak, but just don't use the book. Keep a Bible handy to measure what you read against the Truth of the Word.

A nice addition to the library, and it's filled with practical help and lots of encouragement.

This is a book any mother can relate to. Tamara's descriptions of everyday happenings with her children show great insight into God's love for His children. She reminds us that we all have frustrating days as parents and that if we will just listen our children can teach us. Children Are a Blessing from the Lord is a great devotional book or gift.
