In a follow-up to author Idan Hadari's story "Noah's Petting Zoo," young Andrew pined for his own "fifteen minutes of fame," and he wanted it now. Despite his mom's advice that notoriety brings its own problems, Andrew despaired that he lacked the talent to do anything that would make him famous. Then by pure chance, an opportunity arose for Andrew to just be himself and use the natural abilities he already had. Seizing the moment, Andrew demonstrated his skill and courage in doing a good deed, and soon afterward, found his name in the newspaper headlines.
The rhyming text and colorful illustrations should appeal to youngsters, who will learn a few valuable life lessons, including being themselves and having patience.

5.0 out of 5 stars 'I did it with style!' August 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Idan Hadari has mastered the role of writer/illustrator/teacher and entertainer. His books are not only very fine bedtime stories, the kind children love to hear and to learn to read, but they also are written in a charming rhyme pattern that makes them all the more memorable for a child's retention. Geared to the age 3 - 8 bracket, the themes here of developing self-confidence and self esteem, encouraging self-motivation, patience (always a tough item to teach kids!), and the rewards of interacting with those around them - family, friends, fellowman and pets.

Andrew is a peppy kid who wants to be famous NOW! His parents hear his desire but assure him that he is only ten and that there is much time ahead before worrying about all the possible adverse effects of being famous. But Andrew is impatient, and in the privacy of his own room he bemoans the fact that he seemingly has no talent that would bring him fame. A shooting star flies past his nighttime window and his older brother has told him to make a secret wish on a shooting star and the wish will come true. He wishes to pay a guitar or to catch a thief all for the purpose of gaining fame, but is still frustrated. He takes a walk with his dog to the park and there he sees a small crowd around a tree where two kittens were stranded, and knowing where the rope ladder to the tree house is, he rescues the kittens to the joy of the little girl owner and the gathered crowd, feels happy, and the next morning his picture is in the newspaper as the hero! `I have talent and luck, and though it is tough, I can do anything if I want it enough!' And so Andrew is famous - at least for a day.

The warmth of the poetry is matched by the fine illustrations and once again Idan Hadari has written a solid gold children's book. Grady Harp, August 13

5.0 out of 5 stars Enchanting Illustrations, Awesome Story July 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Andrew's Claim to Fame by Idan Hadari is an awesome story of a young boy who wants to be famous. He tries all the "traditional" ways like music and dance but he doesn't think he has any talent. Then one day, when he was walking his dog, he comes across a problem that he alone can solve. He becomes famous and his dreams come true. It is a lesson in liking who you are. The colorful, enchanting illustrations make the story come to life. I highly recommend it for any child to appreciate who they are.

5.0 out of 5 stars Famous For A Day July 29, 2013
By LadyD
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Such a cute story written in rhyme with lovely and colorful illustrations. I especially like the main character, ambitious Andrew who is 10. He has such a need to discover his talents and purpose, wanting so much to be famous like a musician, etc. He listens to his brother John's advice, wishing upon a shooting star but one day stumbles upon rescuing 2 small kittens. My grandchildren love it!

The desire for fame is often associated with individuals whose only claim to fame is being famous. It is thus no wonder that many kids nowadays yearn for celebrity rather than for achievement. The main character in Idan Hadari's "Andrew's Claim to Fame," wishes for fame but learns that true joy is inherent in values such as kindness and caring. The author's lovely rhymes and the book's beautiful illustrations complement this delightful book.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Never Let Go Of Your Dreams"............. August 21, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a sweet bedtime story in which a little boy named Andrew thinks he has no talents..It rhymes perfectly all the way to the happy ending...The illustrations are bright, colorful and those little kittens are so cute..This is a very inspirational and educational book that teaches your child to have self-esteem..That all children have special skills or talents in their own way it just takes time to develope them...

Andrew wants to be famous..He dreams at night of becoming a Rockstar, Dancer, Police Chief or win a Spelling Bee contest..His parents try to reassure him he has plenty of time decide what he wants to be and it may just come naturally...Andrew still doubts himself until one day he is walking his dog and their is a crowd around a tree..When he looks up two little adorable kittens are stuck....Can he save the day and find his talent anyway..

We all teach our children to dream "the impossible dream" and never let go..

My niece loved those little kittens and the story made her laugh...

More About the Author

I always wanted to write children's books, but I didn't have the courage, time or right frame of mind.

After I completed my first degree in Computer Engineering, I found myself creating children's software; teaching private lessons in all areas; and teaching children to swim, in both the first and second levels.

As a result of working with kids, the connection to writing a book for children was a natural progression and I found myself writing many different stories about almost everything, and always left them in the desk drawer.

When an idea pops into my head I ask these questions:
Will a child want to read this book?
Will a parent want to read this book to or with their child?
Would this book make a parent or a child feel something?
Is there something visual here that will hold the child's interest?
Will a child see things in a different way after reading the book?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then I know I'm on the right track.

This is my first book to be published in a Kindle version; I hope that I will publish many more children's books, in the same genre soon.
