Children of Courage is about a family of six children and their parents. Being born with terminal illnesses (Cystic Fibrosis), two of the children faced the certainty of early deaths, while the remaining four nurtured, watched, and adjusted as they bid their brother and sister a final goodbye. It took monumental courage by those facing death to go forward, and it took another type of courage, equally as demanding, for the others to adapt and continue on with their own lives. Children of Courage is a family narrative of trial, acceptance, adjustment, and hope as told through entries their father made in his journal with every measure of succored time lived by their mother.
