If you are interested in AA history, this book will be a very interesting read. This is not socalled "AA APROVED LITERATURE." It puts a different perspective on the founders of AA. They were afterall, human beings. "Imperfect people that came up with a way to help millions of other imperfect people to acheive a level of sobriety. The book is out of print, and I was surprised to find a new copy of it.

If you are one that chooses to hold to the belief that Dr. Bob and Bill W. were saints,then you may wish to pass on this one. It is not a "Mommy Dearest" hatchet job, but simply a look at early AA from two people who were there.

LOVE this book, I was so happy to find it on Amazon.com as we had purchased one when we were in Akron Ohio visiting Dr. Bobs house where the history of AA all began and wanted another copy for our library. It is very easy to read and a must have for any AA history buff!

Revealing personal lives of the children of Dr. Bob, co-founder of AA. And, how prevalent sexual abuse is in addictive behavior. Cited is the grandchild (who was abused by Galbraith, Dr. Bob's son-in-law). That the grandchild took her life and her child's, who was the great-grandchild of Dr. Bob's.

Will not say to much here on my review. I enjoyed learning more of AA history, and this was a nice read for me, and will give as a gift to a friend who also has interest in early AA.
