Review
It's a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, action packed thrill ride. --EJ Thornton - best selling author
A REFRESHING CHANGE From page 1, this book is everything that modern day sci-fi and fantasy is usually not, but should be - something new, engaging and completely original. Craig combines complex metaphorical and psychological themes with a relatable, engrossing and ultimately masterful approach to storytelling. The result is a novel with deep characters, vivid imagination and sharp narration told from a very human perspective.
The thing I liked most about this novel is the way that I was taken in and completely surrounded by it. From cover to cover, I put this book down maybe once, if that. This novel stands out head and shoulders above anything I've read among the myriad of fantasy authors out there today, and I have yet to find another book so engaging and so worthy of such high acclaim. --Josh, Sci-Fi mega-fan
About the Author
Adam Craig lives in his own little special place. Somewhere between where normal people exist and the realm of the unreal is imagined. Though this is probably not the best place to be, it has served him well in his creative endeavors.
Adam Craig was born in July 1977, right in the thick of the Star Wars phenomenon. It was Sci-fi, Fantasy, Art, and cinematic cartoons that quickly squeezed his brain, with their incredible grip. He knew he wanted to be an artist at the ripe age of 7, when The Black Cauldron simultaneously impressed him deeply and "scared the bigeezus" out of him. Drawings of tanks, airplanes, swords, dragons, and overblown monsters suddenly took up the margins of his text books, while his notebooks were filled with short stories of heroes, villains, poetry, and sequels to movies that should have been.
The Children was born from a dream in college. Craig's imagination filled in the blanks while on a train from London, England to Edinburgh, Scotland. He lives in Denver, Colorado with his chihuahua Ed, his parakeet Chupa, and his high school sweetheart.
