if you are curious as to the cause, nature and origin of the critical state of disharmony on our planet, The Children of The Law of One & The Lost Teachings of Atlantis by (the now late) Jon Peniel is the most comprehensive, informative and authentically true book i've found on The Matter.

with humor and aplomb the CLO & LAT explained everything to me about "life" as we know and experience it in/on the extant (3D five sense reality) incarnated plane of existence we live/operate in/on. the CLO & LAT also caused me see, literally and figuratively, The Light -- especially understanding, appreciating and coming to terms with the fact that we are indeed spiritual beings having a human experience (as opposed to human beings having a spiritual experience or even human beings having a human experience).

if you are wanting to know the origins of our being here, how things "devolved", why things are the way they are in our world/plane of existence today, how they got this way -- the details and history of how the whole "mess" started, who/what is responsible, what's gonna happen next/how the "mess" is going to be "cleaned" up, what needs to be done, how to better yourself and live life so as to be an exemplar for others, etc. -- essentially all of life's mysteries and questions explained -- then this is The Book for you.

an excellent companion book imho, Fallen Angels and the Origins of Evil: Why Church Fathers Suppressed the Book of Enoch and Its Startling Revelations, is Most Congruent and dovetails very well with the CLO & LAT teachings on what Went Wrong and what's gonna happen to Right Things.

For all who have read or enjoyed the non judgemental teachings of Emmet Fox, Edgar Cayce, Dan Millman, or James Redfield this book is an excellent source for spiritual guidance. It's storylike format helps all of those who simply cannot follow a dry self help spiritual guide book and the author's "take what you want and leave the rest message" definitely makes one feel like this book attempts to reach people at all levels of spirituality while at the same time leaving the reader unpressured to believe in every word that is written within the 300+ page novel. I recommend that any reader with an open mind and sincere desire to raise their spiritual consciousness read this book. I also recommend The Celestine Prophesy and The Tenth Insight By James Redfield, any book by Emmet Fox for all Christian readers, and The Way of the Peaceful Warrior and No Ordinary Moments by Dan Millman for readers who are interested in books that run along the similar paths. Yes, this book is the one if you are truly ready to take a good hard look at yourself and begin to change your life! I have been a 'seeker' all my life, but at last I have found the tools I needed to effect REAL CHANGE in the pursuit of self-realization.Mind you, no one says it's easy! But the benefits are startling. It is not only a fascinating story of one man's journey to enlightenment, it is a roadmap for others who seek nothing less to follow. I have felt the intense experiences of Jon while reading the book and still do after finishing the book and reading in it again and again.
The book is written in a straight and readable way, handing over universal messages that touch the inner being of 'spiritual searchers' or perhaps those who simply read out of interest.
The book is containing the A-Z ("Atlantis to Zen Buddhism") of Real spirituality, and methods to improve one's life via spiritual practice, or how to change one's life and by doing so also have a positive effect on others automaticaly.
Reading the book will have a deep impact on any searcher and person that seeks to live in a sane society, and is truley a revolution in presenting great and yet basic concepts in the most logical and straight forward way.

This is an incredible book..It was what I was waiting for without even knowing it. "Children of the Law of One and the Lost Teachings of Atlantis' is the remarkable story of Jon Peniel and his experience at an ancient monastery, where he is handed down "ancient teachings of Atlantis". He, in turn, hands down those teachings to you and me in such a way that it is UNDERSTANDABLE. Jon Peniel covers such subjects as; Atlantis, love, unselfishness, truth, universal consciousness, soul's origin, reincarnation, and much much more. There is even a section on daily meditations and exercises and even dietary guidelines. We must change the way that we think, feel and treat our fellowman..NOW. Chances are, if you are reading this, you're probably thinking about buying this book...Don't think..Buy it! Read it! Live it! Share it! I have read this book, and I know that I will reread it again and again...so will you, if you are spiritually ready.

SEEKERS OF TRUTH...here is what we've been waiting for! This is probably the most incredible book published. It is a humorous, fact-filled account of the life of the author and his discovery of the hidden valley in Tibet (Shangri-La?) and his subsequent exposure to the teachings handed down since the time of Atlantis. Don't worry, it's not "far out," quite the contrary. It is full of very practical, important lessons that everyone needs to hear. It has a section of daily mediation exercises which I have found extremely effective. And the best part is, you can actually communicate with the members of this order, who have been exiled from their home by the Chinese and are now in North America. They have phone numbers, e-mail addresses and related information. Unfortunately, in the rush to get this book to publication before it is too late, the text contains some glaring typos and grammatical mistakes. Don't let this distract you from the VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE in this book. The time is NOW...get the book and get busy!

When reading the book for the first time, I was "blown away" so to speak. Not only because of their amazing ancient history, but because I had an experience I never had before. I had the feeling I already knew their teachings somehow and while reading, I felt it was truth.
For almost a year now, I have been applying their teachings about the simple Universal Laws that govern this Universe and using the self-improvement meditation techniques described in their book. But most importantly, I'm working on manifesting in my life, the very essence of their teachings - Unselfish Love. And my life has already changed in a profoundly positive way.
Loving other people Unselfishly has also been called the Golden Rule. An old concept (and it is often overlooked) but I, as the Children of the Law of One, believe it is the most important spiritual teaching in the world. All good people can agree with me if I say "this world needs a lot more love" and I would recommend anyone who agrees with this and thinks the Golden Rule is a good thing, to read this book.

If you are like me, you have probably been searching for the answers to the questions of life. Who am I and where do I come from? I'm supposed to be doing something important....what is it that I can't remember? What do my dreams mean? How can crystals help me? Who or where is my soul mate? What really happens when I "die"?

All of these questions and so much more will be addressed in "The Lost Teachings of Atlantis." I was floored when I read the table of contents and saw all of the topics in one book that I had been searching all over the Internet for and in any book of an esoteric nature that I could get my hands on.

This book really shook me up and challenged me to look at myself, my beliefs and whether I wanted to remain the same (conscously choosing to turn away from the Source) or do I want to turn back to the Light and transform.

Please, do yourself a favor and buy this book. Even if you are unsure of whether you can believe it or not, it is a very entertaining story of one man's journey to Tibet and his path to enlightenment. You will be hanging on the edge of your seat, rooting for him to make it to the ancient monastery in the Himalayas.

You may even find yourself close to tears as you realize things you must change about yourself if you want to return to the AllThatIs.

It's worth it!

Stop whatever it is you're doing that is so important and read this book. Now. This book will change your life. Buy two- give one to someone you care about. Then buy a spare - mine is practically worn out, it gets taken everywhere and read every day. This book makes all other metaphysical/spiritual/self-improvement books redundant. Anybody want to buy a mountain of metaphysical books?

Bonus Typofest: If you are a really anal English Grammar pedant then this book is very good for practising being non-judgmental...

Is there a down side? Certainly: where is the Index? We need to be able to find stuff!

This book should not be recommended reading, it should be required reading. Buy it. Now.

This book is a true miracle on paper for me. I am so thankful to Jon for writing it. It confirmed much of what I already felt and 'needed' confirmation on, for living in this materialistic world for so long, I was beginning to think I had 'imagined' all the beauty known within us. It offers valuable information enabling me to understand the deeper reasons and meanings of relationships, whether soulmates or people we meet along the way thru life. It also confirmed for me my place on the spiritual path, for it is laid out in such a way, that one can easily identify where they are and what they need to do to take the next step forward. It tells us how to get there. It helped me identify and understand the traps of ego and the self created identity we believe we are, so we can finally understand who we truly are, so we can create happiness and peace in life. It gives valuable understanding to my questions on Jesus and his role. The info on creation and our beginnings furthers my scientific questioning of how the universe is put together and how everything is connected. As well, the info on healing energy and cds for healing prompted me to buy some. Amazingly, I hear the same instrumental effects in the Moody Blues music as in the cds...they must be one of the groups Jon worked with. Finally, I know that in his humility, the message of loving one another is most important to Jon. I would call this book the 'real' Bible...enjoy.
