5.0 out of 5 stars A true story of faith and courage
This book is gorgeous. It's amazing to think that something like this could happen in our lifetime -- that a working mom, a doctor no less, could wake up one morning and not be able to get out of bed. From one day to the next, her life changed. And then God spoke to her. The book is a quiet and humble account of her personal relationship with God. You can feel...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not enough information on Meniere's disease
Small amount on information on living with the disease and options on healing. Large book but not much on Meniere's.If you really want help on the disease, read Meniere's Disease-What You Need To Know by P.J.Haybach.

"My Children, Listen" is amazing. It was uplifting to me in a time of deep distress, and will do the same for everyone. This book is extraordinary and its message is conveyed with elegance by the author. Worth reading again and again.

I came across this book through an ad in the New York Times over 10 years ago. I was impressed that the author, formerly agnostic and a medical doctor, had a faith experience. Dr. Toye's journey from doubt and severe illness to gratitude and improving health is inspirational. I have bought this book three times for friends struggling with illness and they have been comforted. "Find the sacred in everyday life."

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful spiritual journey toward Yahweh, March 25, 2009
This review is from: My Children, Listen (Hardcover)
Catherine Toye describes a powerful conversion experience through which she came from agnostic to a true believer in Christ. I believe her experience is common in today's modern world. There is so much secularization at many modern universities and Catherine hears the Blessed Virgin calling her after the trauma of divorce has already rocked her life. I have not yet finished the book, but I am looking forward to the rest of her story, in which God's will for her will be revealed.
