5.0 out of 5 stars My favourite cover on a great game book
Before reading the book, take a long hard look at the cover. Todd Lockwood is an amazing artist and in my opinion this is one of his best works (with the cover for Carnival). 3.0 out of 5 stars Sort of like a fruit machine
Pretty mixed bag here, overall I give it a 3 star rating for originality alone. This book is unique for having one of the first professionally published adventures by the guy who would later found Wizards of the Coast and buy (or swallow, if you like) TSR, Inc. like a big biblical whale.

Before reading the book, take a long hard look at the cover. Todd Lockwood is an amazing artist and in my opinion this is one of his best works (with the cover for Carnival). Beyond his masterpiece are thirteen well written golem characters - for they are unique characters - coupled with cleverly written adventures. In order to obtain a wider range of ideas, each couplet is written by a different author. This works excellently, saving the author from hitting writer's block painfully and saving the readers from dreaded boredom. An excellent resource to stimulate the creative juices of any Ravenloft DM, I'd have to award COTN: Created the coveted 5 stars.
