5.0 out of 5 stars THE WISDOM OF OUR CHILDREN, February 20, 2007
This review is from: The Children of Now: Crystalline Children, Indigo Children, Star Kids, Angels on Earth, and the Phenomenon of Transitional Children (Paperback)
After reading this book, I bought 8 copies as holiday gifts for teachers, health care professionals and fellow parents. Some comments from the 9 readers follows:

*** I understand now that my child is not a problem. He has talents and abilities that are different and he has something wonderful to contribute to this changing world.
*** How to create a love of learning in our schools is clear now.
*** We wonder how our children can create life on a planet that is envrionmentally unstable. Within this book is the answer to that question, in the children's own words, and how we can support them as they envision the future.
*** Our children have so much to teach us,now is the time to listen closely. There is great wisdom in their truthful hearts. I began listening as I read those pages. I listen more intently to what my daughter has to say now and I understand the depth of her observations.
*** The children in my classes have absolutely changed over the last 20 years. I had no truthful way of explaining what was occuring until I read this book. Aha!!
*** As a health care provider I've suspected that cronic illness in adults and children is a symptom of a society that is out of truth with itself. The children confirm this and are clearly able to discern the truths that we have forgotten. The outlook for healing ourselves has just gotten infinitely brighter!
*** This book has inspired a new way of interacting with my students that is both practical and creative.
*** I am reading this book again. I am grateful for the beauty of the message and the openheartedness and courage of the messenger

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is a must read!, April 20, 2007
This review is from: The Children of Now: Crystalline Children, Indigo Children, Star Kids, Angels on Earth, and the Phenomenon of Transitional Children (Paperback)
I got it from the library, read it in one evening, and promptly came here to get one in a hurry. It blew me away! Some of the information was familiar but the new information was tremendous. She explained what is going on with the most compassion. And she speaks from personal experience, not just from research. This should be REQUIRED reading for anyone in charge of kids.

4.0 out of 5 stars anecdotal, thought inspiring, does not totally convince, October 8, 2007

This review is from: The Children of Now: Crystalline Children, Indigo Children, Star Kids, Angels on Earth, and the Phenomenon of Transitional Children (Paperback)
This book was a little new agey for me. However the points the author makes about human institutions not serving the person, the mis/diagnoses of kids who operate other than from a linear, blind obedience paradigm were well worthwhile. The author's experience with kids was interesting to the point i could not stop reading. However her categorizations of star kids, crystalline etc I could not buy into. I also hold these children have always been, although we may have more recognition of it. I would call these children "mystics" although i use the term a little loosely here. The author is an excellent writer and well worth reading---critically.

While this book offers plenty of accounts of the author connecting with various kids at wall-mart(Nice, but how would the mother feel about a stranger talking, even telepathically, with her child?) It lumps all of the Crystalline children into one catagory, not going into detail about the difference of Indigo, Rainbow, Crystal etc. children. The only exception she makes is for star children, because she knows one personally. There are HUGE differences between these types of special children, as any one who has read any other books on the subject would know.
She also says these children have only started coming at around 1997-98, while indigo children have been known to start arriving as early as 1978, and only the most recent crystal children occupy the time frame she covers. It is also said that all the children have some form on blue eyes.(???) I personally know of many indigos with diffrent ethnicities, not to mention eye color.
While this book does offer good characteristics of these special children, she lumps them into only two categories: Crystalline and Star children, although she mentions detail. Dont waste your money on this vague book, but go for something with way more information and details, such as Doreen Virtue's "Earth Angels" "Crystal Children", and "The care and feeding of your Indigo Children."

This review is from: The Children of Now: Crystalline Children, Indigo Children, Star Kids, Angels on Earth, and the Phenomenon of Transitional Children (Paperback)
I loved the book. As a parent of an extra-ordinary child I am proud to share it with my friends and family. It really described my daughter and what she has come here to do. I felt comforted to know other parents have had similur situations and that I am not alone. What a beautiful message. Thank you!

This book is exceptional!! My feeling is, evolution doesn't start in the labratory. It starts with us, our everyday lives, our children! If you really look around with open eyes, it's all right there! Sometimes while we are waiting for proof to land in our laps, or, under the microscope, the world has flown right by us! These children are very real. I know, because I have 2 of them!! They are just regular kids with an extra sensitivity, an added depth to their being, a new way of looking at the world, and some do have extra abilities that are considered more than human. They are human though, just the next "wave" if you will. I am very happy that they are here! We need them!!! This book has helped my family very much! Thank You Dr. Meg!

5.0 out of 5 stars An Incredibel Adventure - A True Gem, February 21, 2007
This review is from: The Children of Now: Crystalline Children, Indigo Children, Star Kids, Angels on Earth, and the Phenomenon of Transitional Children (Paperback)
What an incredible read. I love that this book is so contraversial. People are reading and discussing it. This is so important. In History nothing significant has ever happened without differing opinions and open conversation.
What makes Dr. Meg Blackburn Losey stand out among all others is her extensive education and experience, which backs up everything she has written.
The Children of Now is not presented as spritual babble, it is clear, well researched, and documented and I for one am grateful to Dr. Meg for providing such a valuable resource that will undoubtedly help millions of parents, teachers, nurses, doctors, and children. BRAVO!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent help for so many ...., December 19, 2006
This review is from: The Children of Now: Crystalline Children, Indigo Children, Star Kids, Angels on Earth, and the Phenomenon of Transitional Children (Paperback)
As a practitioner I have worked with so many children and parents who are floundering about "not fitting in", etc. etc. Meg has identified these realities perfectly and her skill, compassion and knowledge are boundless in helping in this area. This book will be of enormous help to both children and parents alike who have chosen to be brave warriors in this ever changing reality helping to assist our Beloved Planet back into wholeness.
I will be "paying this book forward" in my efforts to help others know they are perfect, whole and complete just the way they are.

Namaste... Elizabeth (Libby) Gordon-Dartez

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating book!!!, April 28, 2007
This review is from: The Children of Now: Crystalline Children, Indigo Children, Star Kids, Angels on Earth, and the Phenomenon of Transitional Children (Paperback)
This book is a definite must for anyone around gifted kids, be it an overnight sitter or a parent. Meg describes the phenomenon in a believable, down to earth style without the hype and sensationalism that is characteristic of so many others who write about the gifted kids. The author also mentions valuable tips on how to support and nurture these kids in the last chapter.Overall, I believe this will be a major step forward in the upbringing of these children. The only part which I felt was somewhat lacking is the description of the aura, the differences between each energy type in it and what traits a certain type might cause in a child. I would also like to hear more anecdotes and stories of the individual children.

Meg Blackburn Losey has written a most informative book. I purchased an additional 4 copies which were given as gifts to the parents of young children - a wise choice from the compliments I received afterward. A must have to understand todays gifted children. There is a wealth of knowledge inside that truly will enlighten you to the children of these times.
