I'm re-reading my (library discard) copy of this book for the tenth time and finding new and wonderful insights. Anyone who has ever considered letting children develop without the constraints of formal schooling will be delighted to read about this family.

I've read this book several times, the last being at least a couple of years ago. So I can't provide details off the top of my head. However, I just ran across this while browsing on amazon, and I had to add a review, because this book is truely wonderful. The feeling of this book remains vivid in my mind. It will change the way you look at childhood, "education", and perhaps most importantly, your own upbringing. I very highly recommend it. (And I'm a "teacher").
